Watched Episode 13 last night and enjoyed it very Much and just now watched the Preview!

Wonder what will happen when it reaches 0 and who that person is that they found. i need answers! :p

Last night's episode was a good one for sure. I promised myself that I would pay attention to all the "background clues" that seem to be present in every episode, but I found myself getting to engrossed in the primary plotline. So... what are all the secret things you guys noticed?

Well, I myself didn't notice anything but I usually go to Wikipedia after each episode to find some interesting trivia. And this is what I found in "The Long Con":

One of the books Locke is seen organizing is An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce. The plot of the story concerns a man who survives a hanging and escapes, only to later discover that he did not survive at all, and his escape was actually a hallucination at the time of death.

Interesting.

Can't wait for "One of Them"!

It's cool that we see the French lady come back...I have a feeling that it is her trap that catches "The Other"...then she probably goes and gets Sayid to tell him or something...atleast that is how it looks.

Also, the timer that it shows going to "0" in the preview is not the same timer that is in their hatch, unless this is just something that was overlooked by producer's, it might be from a different hatch...but I hope it is their's and not a new one. Either way, I am curious to see what happens as well...what do I think will happen?...hmm-probably nothing-but I hope its related to the security system (black smoke) in some fashion... either way-I get the feeling that Locke will find some way to convince everyone that they need to start pressing the button again.

Im also thinking those blast doors around the computer room will shut and either the room may fill up with gas (hence the quarantine on the door) or nothing will happen there but will happen in the volcano on the island where everything is situated (many theories have highlighted the volcano to be important)

What the show is missing is a character that is a Systems Engineer, so he can access data, and hack the system to get some real info on the hatch and what is going on. That technology is very old, it wouldn't be that hard

haha...wonder if it will take msn messenger version 1.0 :shifty:

Yea, that is what I was saying...

The timer in next weeks preview is different from the one that is in the Losties hatch presently.

Here are the screenshots for those who don't click the link, notice the difference in the plastic piece between the numbers:

The timer that we have seen each week:

My buddy that I work with used to be a Krishna, he just told me there are 108 gods and one of them is called Dharma... Interesting no?

yeh thats an interesting idea...havent heard that yet :|

Idea....

Someone thinks over at a lost site that the guy they capture could well be a button pusher for another hatch and they take him to his hatch and thats where the different timer comes in or he tells them what the button pressing is for and tells them its nothing bad so they stop pushing it

Anyone notice the intro? The short clip at the beginning that shows a blurry lost? Look at the edges of the S as the T goes off the screen. It's a terrible render and there are remnants in every season 1 and 2 episode. :( they should fix asap!

Man, that ****ed me off so much when i watched season 1, i figured they would have fixed that by season two :(

Thank God no...seasons most of the time have like 24 episodes...Lost S2 should have at least 10 more to go.

im just saying that because epguides has it down at just 15 episodes and they must be having a looooooong gap then because after this weeks theres a 2 week break...probably olympics...stupid thing

    • Microsoft kills AI-powered history search feature in Edge by Usama Jawad In June 2025, Microsoft began rolling out AI-powered history search functionality with Edge 138. The idea was simple: allow customers to use natural language phrases and synonyms to find their desired history items rather than matching keywords exactly. Although the company had already rolled out this capability in a phased manner, it has now decided to cancel it. In an update on its Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Microsoft has announced that it has decided not to move forward with AI-powered history search. The company has not detailed the exact reasoning behind this move, but it has apologized to customers for the inconvenience. The move is rather interesting as it seemingly could have improved user productivity. Edge users wouldn't have to worry about typos or exact keywords, and just focus on what they were trying to locate in their browser history. Microsoft had also assured users that an on-device AI model would be leveraged for this functionality, and no data would be sent to the cloud. IT admins also had the ability to control its availability through the EdgeHistoryAISearchEnabled policy. When the feature began rolling out last year, many of our readers called it creepy, noting that they couldn't trust Microsoft to keep their data on their device. Others also questioned its usefulness, saying that it's simply a way for Microsoft to insert more AI bloat into its products. Although the Redmond tech giant had stated that it will be more mindful about surfacing Copilot features in Windows 11 apps, we later discussed how this is mostly a rebranding exercise rather than an actual axing of AI functionalities. Indeed, a Microsoft executive later emphasized how they want to reshape Windows for the agentic AI era. That said, it does seem like at least AI-powered Edge history search isn't a part of that vision.
    • For you to jump on and defend your sweetheart? I agree, it didn't.
    • Not likely, of course, that we will see routine citizenship checks as they only involve compliance with existing federal voting laws already on the books for decades. This seems a non-issue entirely. Only fools would have the government rush headlong into an AI program few can understand or predict, or even debug...
