Where did you hear about the Walt backward talking?

Its the whispers in the jungle, like when Shannon was shot, he was apparently saying something like "they're almost here!"

And I thought there was a 2 week break?

I don' think that the heiro have any meanning. Maybe is just another countdown and nothing more.

And about the doors opening y think they were the blast doors that Michael found, and they were closing....

It means "Cause To Die"

Read that maybe that pushing the code to stop the timer is sime kind of safety measure. If no one else is alive the thing inside the hatch is realeased/activated..... so maybe "Cause to die" could mean "kill switch"...

Maybe that sound of powering up was a generator when the timer reached to 0. And that generator was going make a massive electromagnetic pulse causing anything electronic within a certain radius to crash...say a plane full of people.

Hmm, interesting, so that's what I missed when the sound dropped out on my station. First the center channel dropped out and I couldn't hear anyone speaking (which at first I thought was a mood device by the writers since I could pretty much interpret what they were saying) but then the sound finally dropped out totally when Locke rushed in to do the computer, followed by a high pitched whine. Not to mention I had an HD dropout for about 5 minutes. Damn does my ABC affiliate suck. It's either major pixelation a few times during the show or this

There is over 160 pages in this post so if this was said in one of those pages I appologise now, but has anyone seen the movie Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise? You know, the one where he was in some car accident then he was ok but in the end you find out he's actually cryogenically frozen and this whole thing was some sort of weird dream the main character constructed starting at one point and that explains some things that were off such as the sky, old 1950s car in the streets of NYC, his face being fine when it couldnt have been, etc? For some reason I get the feeling that this show is the TV version of that movie. A polar bear on an island, a man can walk when he was paralized in a wheel chair, some black smoke that comes up to a mans face and then stop and goes away. Thats just my take on this show.

It means "Cause To Die"

This post at TheFuselage.com claims the translation is "cause to die." Or, the causitive form of the verb, "to die." Maybe simply, "You're dead."

I think it means You're dead. Makes more sense to me. But then again, with this show, it could mean anything really.

Hi Charlie.

I firmly believe is one of the "Others". I don't believe a word he said, all because of that look he gave Sayid at the end there.

I noticed it. Let Sayid back in for round two I say. Now they have to feed him, take care of him. Waste of resources.

Yeah

People asked about the promo for next episode including me of course and here it is zipped :)

Thanks (Y)

Edit: Wow looks good :D

I had posted this on the LOST Podcast: The Transmission weblog and thought I'd share the same comment here regarding the breaks that Lost seems to being taking so often.

I have to say that this was one of the best episodes thus far for Season 2. This season, especially early on (Episodes 1, & 3), showed us the exact same thing from different points of view. The first half of the season simply was to slow. I think after "The Hunting Party" (e211), we are starting to pick up steam. YAY!

As for these breaks that seem to happen more often than they should, I think many TV shows do this, we just do not pay attention to it as much because this one is so widely talked about.

Take for instance, Lost, thus far, has taken these dates off: 10/26, 11/2,7,14,21,28, 1/4, 2/1,22, only 9 weeks total. CSI, another popular TV show on CBS, has taken these dates off: 10/27, 12/1,15,22,29, 1/12. As you can see, CSI has take 6 weeks off, only three less than Lost. So I do not see anything to complain about when it comes to the off time, as it really is not all that much more than other popular shows. Just my two cents...

Hi Charlie.

You didn't spank my ass

^^^ and because of the name he gave, and story. He's the auncle of Dorothy for crying out loud :D

Amen to that! :D I'm waiting for the episode where somebody will notice that he's lying because of his name and story.

is the supposed "other" they captured the same guy in the first "Saw" movie who was made to kill the guys family (the one that worked in the hospital???)......its unrelated but i just wanted to know.....

also, like someone previously said the soldier(?) who gave sayid the tools to torture the prisoner in iraq reminded me a lot of the main "other" in the hunting party episode (the voice was similar also)....also, at the end the smae soldier tells sayid "one of these days therell be something you need to know, and now you know how to get it....".

its all a bit too relevant to be a coincidence me thinks....???

Well the soldier ant the "main Other" are not the same actors, who knows if they're going to play the same character. The "Other" I believe is the actor that was on the movie sideways, the one who had the chubby wife and runs out naked chasing the main character....

But he has a point that guy might have some relevance ... he could speak in Sayid's language so why didnt he try to negotiate with the Iraqi commander or torture him and what he said when he let sayid go was random, thats when i thought hmmmmmmm :p

He played Zep Hindle in Saw. His names Michael Emerson, you can read up on him here.

Hah, yes. The quirky guy who helps out at the hospital. Well noticied. I knew that I knew his face from somewhere.

That was his role on Saw II. What did he play in Saw? He doesn't seem to be credited for Lost and/or Saw II on http://imdb.com/name/nm0256237/ :/

i know in Saw 1, he played the guy that sat behind the glass window, and watched them.. he was a druggy. Saw II, no idea.. and it takes sometime to credit people for work.. just relax :p

I am getting Saw mixed up with Saw II. He didn't appear in Saw II but only Saw. Oh well.

Well this is still torture even if he is saving a life or not. Maybe Sahid is trying to save the people the others kidnapped. After all they are trying to prepare an army right? Jack is not a good leader, just like his X said, he just needs to fix things.

The previews for next week look interesting. Could it be that they are supposed to find these things?

Or maybe Sayid is being personal!

    • Microsoft further improving Windows 11 Taskbar with latest builds by Sayan Sen Microsoft has released new Windows 11 builds for users flighting the Experimental channels. The new builds are 26300.8758 for Windows 11 26H2, 28120.2374 for 26H1, and 29617.1000 for future platforms. There are improvements related to the Taskbar, File Explorer and more with the new update. The full changelogs are given below: First we have the build 26300.8758: Changes and improvements gradually being rolled out [Taskbar] Taskbar customization just got easier. As we continue to make improvements to the Taskbar experience mentioned last month, we've introduced a dedicated Taskbar Size setting, making it simpler to find, understand, and personalize your ideal taskbar experience. UI showing the new Taskbar Size setting in Settings. We've also made refinements to the transitions between taskbar sizes for a smoother overall experience. [File Explorer] We've improved the reliability of thumbnail previews for cloud files in the Details pane. The pane has also been reorganized so file properties are easier to find and review at a glance. Fixed an issue where the OneDrive shortcut in File Explorer stops working when File Explorer is run in administrative mode. Fixed an issue where the confirmation dialog might display an internal Recycle Bin file name instead of the original file name when permanently deleting a file. [Sounds] Improved system sounds when using Windows in dark mode. Up next we have build 28120.2374: Changes and improvements gradually being rolled out This update includes a small set of general improvements and fixes [Mobile Device Settings] You can add and manage your mobile devices in Settings under Bluetooth & Devices > Mobile Devices. On this page, you can manage features such as using your device as a connected camera or accessing your device's files in File Explorer. [Remote Recovery Management] Added a recovery remote management plug-in to extend WinRE management capabilities for MDM providers. [Input] The emoji panel (Windows key + period (.)) now uses GIPHY as the GIF provider, delivering a smoother GIF browsing and sharing experience following the deprecation of the Tenor API. Finally we have the changelog for Windows 11 build 29617.1000: Changes and improvements gradually being rolled out [Windows Update] As announced in the Windows Update announce blog, we are now bringing a new unified update experience to reduce the number of reboots you see per month. We are starting by coordinating driver, .NET, and firmware updates to align with the monthly quality update, reducing the update experience to a single monthly restart. See the blog for more information. [Windows Magnifier] Magnifier now gives you more control over how you zoom. You can type an exact zoom percentage directly in the magnifier toolbar to land on precisely the level you need. We've also added preset step increments (5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 100%, 150%, 200%, and 400%) to the Settings dropdown, so you can jump to common levels in a single click. Whether you need a subtle boost or a dramatic close-up, Magnifier adapts to how you want to zoom. ../images/zoom.png Enter an exact percentage or jump to preset steps —5% up to 400%. Feedback: Share your thoughts in Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Accessibility > Magnifier. [Accessibility] We're introducing screen tint, a new accessibility setting that applies a color overlay across your entire display, softening its intensity so it's easier on your eyes throughout the day. If bright, saturated screens leave you with tired or sensitive eyes by the end of a long session, screen tint can help. ../images/screentint.png Screenshot showing UI for screen tint in Accessibility, with color presets and a strength slider. To get started, open Settings > Accessibility (or press WIN + U) and look for screen tint under the Vision section. From there, you can: Pick from six preset colors or choose a custom color of your own. Adjust the tint strength slider from a subtle wash to full intensity. Night light warms your display to reduce blue light that can interfere with sleep. Screen tint reduces overall screen intensity to ease eye fatigue and light sensitivity during the day. They tackle different problems and you can use both at the same time, one working on warmth and the other on intensity. Note that turning on screen tint will disable color filters, and vice versa. If you currently rely on color filters, you might need to keep screen tint turned off. Feedback: Share your thoughts in Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Accessibility > Narrator. [Voice Access] Voice Access now supports Portuguese (Portugal), Portuguese (Brazil), and Korean (South Korea). [Audio] Continuing our work on improving Sound Settings, we've made a few more updates in this build: We've adjusted the description text for the Allow option in properties for audio devices to include the current state of the device, to improve the clarity of the text and the purpose of the button actions. "Listen to this device" is now available in properties for audio devices, so you don't need to enter Control Panel for this functionality. [Multiple Desktops] Improved explorer reliability when switching between multiple desktops. [Storage] We've updated the dialog when creating a Dev Drive to now support specifying the size in GB instead of only MB. This has also been added when changing the size of volumes under Settings > System > Storage. [Personalization] This update improves color selection accuracy when adjusting your accent color to match your wallpaper when automatic accent color selection is enabled in Personalization settings. This update improves wallpaper persistence reliability across restarts and upgrades, including better support for large-resolution wallpapers and other scenarios to prevent solid color wallpaper fallback. [Display and Graphics] Improves the reliability and persistence of applying color profiles. You can view the official blog posts here (link1, link2, link3) on Microsoft's site.
