"Lost" TV Show - Currently Season 2 (US aired)

One sentence which I think explains the nature of the island is from the Dharma video:

A large scale communal research compound where scientists and free-thinkers from around the globe could pursue research in meteorology, psychology, para-psychology, zoology, electro-magnetism and utopian social (?) crusive Danish industrialists and emissions magnets Alvar Hanso (?). (The last part makes no sense to me - if someone could make sense of it then please!)

The above really reveals what the island is. And what seems to make more sense is that the 'others' are most likely the 'free-thinkers' which are studying (para)-psychology on the island by watching the survivors of flight 815. I believe the reason they kidnap people from the plane group is because they are suitable for other kinds of work on the island. I believe that when Claire was kidnapped, the 'others' only took her to a medical bunker on the island in order for her to give birth safely (which we will see into more next week).

I mean honestly, have the 'others' actually killed anyone?! They had guns on the boat because they knew Michael would go to extreme lengths to get Walt back, but they needed Walt for some part of research!?

Also, no-one commented on the picture I posted many pages ago: In the Dharma video, there was a shot of "Alvar Hanso" who funded the Dharma research facility. I think the man in the photo looks a lot like Locke! (or Donald Trump)

Yeah, I think that as well.

They killed... Scott or Steve (the old breaking the neck on the beach thing.. and they nearly killed Charlie)... I could never figure out which :p

The pilot died in the first episode. Although his cause of death is still a mystery, the 'others' (or one of their creations) could have been involved.

They shot Sawyer, and he *almost* died.

I forget the character names, but the 'other' who infiltrated the tallies killed one of them... broke his neck. He then later tried to kill Ana.

lol. I was watching Enterprise and I think Jin was on a few of them... during the whole xindi thing... I think Jin was also on Star Trek Voyager with the planet where time was so fast hours on voyager were years on the planet.

No NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!

:pinch: I know, we have to wait another week!

Jin appears on Spiderman 2 as a scientist

I've spotted Jin in a number of bit parts in movies and TV shows since he's been on Lost. He also played a bit part in seasons 2 and 3 of '24'. He also played a federal agent in the episode of CSI where the feds lead Sarah on a wild goose chase involving counterfeit money.

    • Apple reportedly looks to blacklisted Chinese memory chips as RAM prices climb by Karthik Mudaliar Image via Apple Apple is reportedly trying to get a clearance from the Trump administration to buy memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) to get some relief from soaring DRAM prices. As per a report by the Financial Times, Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also spoke to other officials and allies in Washington. For starters, CXMT is a company that's already been placed on the Pentagon's list of Chinese military companies. The Chinese company is the country's top DRAM maker. For Apple, the timing is certainly awkward but not surprising. Tim Cook had recently warned that Apple would have to raise prices because AI companies are buying up large amounts of memory for data centers, and just like that, Apple raised MacBook and iPad prices. Micron also recently revealed that customers have committed billions of dollars to secure memory supply years in advance, which shows us how aggressive securing infrastructure has become. This gives suppliers such as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron more leverage, while pushing hardware makers to look for alternatives. CXMT is one of those alternatives, but not the simplest one. Apple has spent many years trying to diversify parts of its supply chain away from China, especially for final assembly, while still depending heavily on Chinese manufacturing and suppliers. Even domestic brands from China are moving towards CXMT and YMTC instead of relying on Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. For Apple, though, it would invite more scrutiny than local Chinese companies. For now, this is more like a lobbying effort rather than a confirmed supply deal. There's no official statement from either of the parties. What is clearer, though, is the pressure behind such a request. AI demand has certainly made hardware a bottleneck, and companies are trying everything they can to bring things back to normal, even if that means making politically sensitive choices. • I did test it a month or so back, but ... the results I expect to be on the first page are not there.
    • Neowin is saying these are good prices? Thats crazy. As others have said they are just ######. Time for big tech to bring down the prices for real not this fake crap.
    • The iFlyTek AINote 2 is among the thinnest E-Ink tablets. It has an EMR stylus, a built-in fingerprint reader, and plenty of built-in AI features. You had me until "and plenty of built-in AI features." That and any company that still does the iProduct naming trope is an immediate pass. It suggests the company isn't very imaginative or creative and is trying to piggyback off another company's success. Extremely lame. Also kind of expensive. Better choices at lower prices out there.
