"Lost" TV Show - Currently Season 2 (US aired)

not in the arrow station its where they sit sawyer and co thats the doors down...all thats left is the shell...thats how im reading into it...thing is arrow isnt one of the 6 so its gotta be pre-dharma station planning

hell that would make perfect sense considering the chance that station had the "incident", then it was closed down and they started over and succeeded(i guess)and made the 6 stations we know now.

this is becoming a joke now. they can't just show 1 episode and then a break and then another episode and then another break. they're trying to make the series last longer but this has got to be turning people off of the show - not me, but less patient people. i'm glad we don't have this many (if any) crazy breaks here.

I know, it's especially frustrating for my wife and I, since we watched one episode to begin with, got hooked, then borrowed the season one box set and downloaded the season two episodes up until we were caught up with the current episode. Watched 30 or so episodes in the matter of a week-and-a-halfs time. Now that we're caught up...seems like there is a new episode every few weeks at best.

I've read that the writers intended to have this story end; it would have a finite run and end after 3-4 years. After the success of 'Lost' so far, CBS stated they want the story open-ended, so it could continue indefinately. That absolutely sucks for a story intended to have an end, especially one packed with as many details as 'Lost'. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more fluff stories and episodes spread out like this.

Sorry, but CBS has absolutely no control over ABC's shows. :)

Even if Lost stays on the air for longer than the intended 4-5 seasons, when the final season arrives the writes should give us a finite ending. Don't worry...

Surface fans, now... they have something to worry about. :-/

Thats just getting Pathetic now! Whats the point stretching it out all year!

Most shows do this. It isn't just Lost, the only reason we're paying more attention to it with Lost is because Lost is more popular, so the breaks get more attention.

Every episode of Lost is edited in that 'to be continued...' style, rather than a stand-alone episode. So you really notice the gaps between new episodes because you want to know what happens next and aren't satisfied with the episode alone.

However, Lost does seem to take more breaks than the average TV show. The show uses a lot of special effects (not all of them are obivous) that need to be applied in HDTV quality, which takes a bit of post-production time.

Yeah that does make sense, its because its not like Family guy for example where there is 1 episode and thats it but Lost is continuous

4-5 seasons???????

I want this to end this season.... Surely even tv exec's must know to go out on a high...

Lost doesnt have a strong enough storyline to last 4-5 seasons in my opinion, 2 is plenty....

maybe there are plenty of surprises

you don't know the storyline or whats to come

do you know Prison Break? well writers have that planned for 3-4 seasons..if they can do that why can't Lost which has a broader set of directions and content?

    • Payday TWO!! Is 13 years old man I feel old - I remember trying it out and if I did not know I would say 5-6 years ago or something
    • Payday 2 engine upgrade adds 64-bit and DX11 support, drastically shrinks install size by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Payday 2, the most popular entry in the heisting game franchise, is getting a surprising update after all these years. This is slated to be a complete engine upgrade that will enhance almost every aspect of the 13-year-old title, targeting performance, loading times, file size, rendering backend, and more. Developer Sidetrack Games is planning a beta to test out the new version ahead of the full public launch. The development team today revealed that the long-awaited upgrade to the 64-bit architecture is happening with this Diesel 3.0 engine update. By letting the game use more ram than 4GB, it is said to improve stability and compatibility on most hardware. It should also help modders in the long term with implementing larger changes too. "While many of the changes are made on the backend and not everything will be visible to you guys because it is a massive rewrite of the entire codebase, there will be a lot of things that you can look forward to," Sidetrack explained. Payday 2 will also hop over from DirectX 9 to 11. Instead of visual improvements, this is slated to reduce the amount of VRAM used by the title, letting more lower-end hardware access the title and run it better. Since these changes would require a complete redownload of the game anyway, Sidetrack says it has revamped "the game's packaging and bundling system." This should reduce the installation size from 86GB to 32GB. "So, now it's time to finally move the game to your SSDs," added the studio. The Payday 2 Diesel Engine 3.0 update is entering open beta on June 30 for Steam users. No console release plans were announced today. Sidetrack Games says it has been working on this complete rewrite of the codebase for the last nine months. While these changes should break most mods, the studio encouraged modders to use the beta period to repair their creations with support from the development team.
