thats exactly why i think she's nothing great. its the same thing every role. if you really can "act", you can play diverse roles and portray many different types of emotions. not the ticked off, chip on your shoulder permanently.

Are you insane? she is an amazing actress, the way she always acts angry in every role she does. Takes real talent to look like a Pitball chewing a wasp time after time, on new sets with new lines, new uniforms and co-actors. She is really earning that pay cheque. Gotta love The She Hulk.

I wish there was a way to break this up by episode. I'm only up to episode 10 of season two, and can't read any of this thread for fear I will run into a spoiler.

Episode 10?! I think your best off talking about it with people from your own country then (if thats why your only up to episode 10) until you catch up. Theres usually alot of discussion on the tv station's forums about Lost so, you could try there.

And there's one actor who thinks he'll put an end to Kate's series-long celibacy: "I hope we come together in a kind of angry, animalistic thing, and then she realizes her folly when I'm like, 'Now get me a beer, woman,'" says Josh Holloway, who plays Sawyer, the less savory man competing for Kate's affection, apparently even during phone interviews. "I have been calling these writers from the beginning going, 'When's Sawyer going to get some action? How about even second base?' They're just not thinking enough with the little head. They've got all these huge concepts and major plotlines. But how about getting down to some core Freud."

ABC.com has launched their free online episode streaming service earlier today.

Shows available include Lost and Alias among others, and are available to watch for free, albeit with ad's and commercials. It works pretty well so far, although no Linux support yet as it requires Flash 8." The first episode of Lost on there is a clip show. You can skip around to a segment of the show, but are forced through a commercial before you play. The quality is approximately what you would expect from flash video.

Anyone tried this out yet? I can't cos it says it's only available for US residents, don't spose there's any way round that..?

So since we had another recap & I had the time, I thought I'd do a bit of 'Lost' desktop modding.

I know this is NOT the desktops thread , but thought I'd share it on here as well for what it's worth.

Loooooooooooooooooool , I live in the UK and it works for me. Cool. Oh yeah I've just figured out way to download the content directly to my hard-drive as a flash file. Sweet, just need to convert to avi and snip the commercials away and there we have it.

      Payday 2 engine upgrade adds 64-bit and DX11 support, drastically shrinks install size by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Payday 2, the most popular entry in the heisting game franchise, is getting a surprising update after all these years. This is slated to be a complete engine upgrade that will enhance almost every aspect of the 13-year-old title, targeting performance, loading times, file size, rendering backend, and more. Developer Sidetrack Games is planning a beta to test out the new version ahead of the full public launch. The development team today revealed that the long-awaited upgrade to the 64-bit architecture is happening with this Diesel 3.0 engine update. By letting the game use more ram than 4GB, it is said to improve stability and compatibility on most hardware. It should also help modders in the long term with implementing larger changes too. "While many of the changes are made on the backend and not everything will be visible to you guys because it is a massive rewrite of the entire codebase, there will be a lot of things that you can look forward to," Sidetrack explained. Payday 2 will also hop over from DirectX 9 to 11. Instead of visual improvements, this is slated to reduce the amount of VRAM used by the title, letting more lower-end hardware access the title and run it better. Since these changes would require a complete redownload of the game anyway, Sidetrack says it has revamped "the game's packaging and bundling system." This should reduce the installation size from 86GB to 32GB. "So, now it's time to finally move the game to your SSDs," added the studio. The Payday 2 Diesel Engine 3.0 update is entering open beta on June 30 for Steam users. No console release plans were announced today. Sidetrack Games says it has been working on this complete rewrite of the codebase for the last nine months. While these changes should break most mods, the studio encouraged modders to use the beta period to repair their creations with support from the development team.
