Boring?

There was Sex There was connections (Jack's Father, Sawyer...)

Yeah, and that's what I enjoyed about the show, it didn't have sex, not it has turned into every other show on TV, pure crap. I'm sorry, I'm just disgusted with the direction the writers are going, maybe next week's episode will change my opinion about the show.

It was intergral to the story. It's not like it was thrown in there for ratings. Why be so anal about it?

It wasn't needed for the story, although I agree it probably wasn't thrown in for ratings and I never stated that either. But it wasn't needed though...

I never said it was needed. It was integral. Two different things. Again, why be so anal about it?

Alright, let's go to the dictionary:

integral: necessary or constituent: forming an essential part of something

needed: necessary: necessary or desired

What's the difference?

At any rate, I don't believe that a show needs sex to succeed, and Lost has already proven that they can succeed without sex, so why add it in?

You just said the difference. Integral- it played a very important part in the story. Needed- It was vital to write the story that way. Anyways, that's not really important.

It also doesn't need violence, swear words, guns, death, violent plane crashes, etc. Why pick out sex? I'd think the others could be just as offensive.

So Ana Lucia and Sawyer met before(Briefly) before the Island

Hurmoth, Please remember how Michael got the gun!

Yes they met, but I wonder if she remembers though.

And of course I remember how Michael got the gun, but there are other ways for Ana-Lucia to have gotten the gun. Again, the writers made a choice to add that in, and it wasn't needed. But that's just my opinion and it isn't like I'm going to stop watching the show just for that one thing, it would take more scenes like that which I doubt will happen since everyone seems to be going crazy now :p

 When did I say it was offensive?

Name me a primetime show on CBS, NBC, FOX, or ABC (that isn't a reality TV show) that doesn't have sex. The list is small if you can think of any at all.

I personally don't have a problem with violence on TV, but I get tired of all of the sex. It disgusts me.

oops the dead anna!! thats right they are all still alive~ no one will die while being on the island!!

Boone and Shannon died...

Michael must've done it to hasten the attack on the others. Shooting Ana-Lucia and Libby (by accident) and then himself would make the survivors think Henry attacked them somehow. Then they would rally up and search for the Others and Walt as soon as possible. This is definitely going somewhere.

That HansoFoundation commercial was awesome. Anyone not into Lost would actually think its a real commercial. :p

How in the world can you say there was 'sex' in the show. Inuendo, yes, but no sex. You don't know what they did. It's implied. What would be terrible would be actually showing the sex. That you can object to. That scene would have passed the censors back in the 60's. Get your mind out of the gutter.

It's going to be a fun show next week. How can they deal with the terrible events of tonight's show? Oh how I wonder....

Not to mention Goodwin and the person Goodwin killed, the two people Eko beat to death, and Ethan Rom. And there's the people in the drug plane and the Black Rock. So plenty of people have died there. And then there's the two latest ones: Ana Lucia and possibly Libby (depending where she was shot and how much the blankets helped).

Was anyone else thinking though for a while during this episode that Jack's father might be behind getting people on the island the way he picked up AL? Then he went and looked for his daughter (wonder what that will mean later on?) and went on the bender of a lifetime with Sawyer.

I almost die laughing when the Jack Father (Christian Shephard, Tom for Ana) say: "Im serial" HAHA (southpark FTW)

and yes kjordan2001, I saw that too

EDIT

I don't believe that a show needs sex to succeed

but we (the rating) want and demand for more sex, so whats wrong with that?. They are building a church, in case they wanna say their sins, haha :p

Depending on how good Sawyer was, Ana might have already been talking to God ;)

24 and Prison Break...the other 2 best shows on tv...I cannot remember any sex in either of them.

    • Ignoring the fact that this "colony" kicked the empire of King George's arse during those early years... You are confusing the First Industrial Revolution (which was pulled out of some butt-hurt Brit historian's arse) with the Second Industrial Revolution (aka the Technological Revolution), which transitioned the world from the UK sailing Empire to the USA as a superpower. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Revolution
    • OpenAI announces GPT‑5.6 Sol, its next-generation flagship model beating Claude Mythos 5 by Pradeep Viswanathan Credit: OpenAI OpenAI today announced a limited preview of its new GPT-5.6 model series, which includes the Sol, Terra, and Luna models targeting different price points. GPT-5.6 Sol is the flagship model targeted at demanding reasoning and agentic workloads. GPT-5.6 Terra is positioned as a balanced model for everyday work, featuring performance competitive with GPT-5.5 while being half the cost. GPT-5.6 Luna is the fastest and most affordable model, delivering strong capability at a lower price point. Unlike previous model releases from OpenAI, GPT-5.6 is starting with a limited preview for a small group of trusted partners due to U.S. government restrictions. As expected, OpenAI previewed its plans and the models' capabilities to the U.S. government ahead of launch, and the government asked OpenAI to limit the first wave of access to select partners. OpenAI also mentioned in the official announcement blog post that it does not believe this type of government access process should become the long-term default. OpenAI highlighted that GPT-5.6 Sol comes with a robust safety stack featuring improved protections for higher-risk activity, sensitive cyber requests, and repeated misuse. The company also spent several weeks pressure-testing the system and hardening it against real-world attacks. On the capability side, as expected, GPT-5.6 Sol is OpenAI’s strongest model yet. It delivers better results in agentic performance across coding, biology, and cybersecurity. On the Terminal-Bench 2.1 benchmark, which tests command-line workflows requiring planning, iteration, and tool coordination, GPT-5.6 Sol sets a new record with a score of 91.9%, beating Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5. Additionally, GPT-5.6 introduces a new "max" reasoning effort for even deeper reasoning. The new "ultra" mode uses subagents to accelerate complex work beyond what a single agent can handle. Pricing starts at $5 per million input tokens and $30 per million output tokens for Sol. Terra costs $2.50 for input and $15 for output, while Luna costs $1 for input and $6 for output. GPT-5.6 comes with more predictable prompt caching, including support for explicit cache breakpoints and a 30-minute minimum cache life. Sol will also launch on Cerebras in July at speeds up to 750 tokens per second for select customers. OpenAI plans to make GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna broadly available in ChatGPT, Codex, and the API in the coming weeks.
    • I'm not sure if you are trolling because I saw people saying this with the straight face, but there were no United States of America when industrial revolution started, just United Colonies 🤣 p.s. I'm not British, so I'm not offended.
    • Glad I uninstalled this incredibly buggy browser. Looking at that changelog, they clearly don't test their updates at all.
