Yea i don't think Libby's dead either because in the preview Hurley doesn't look as upset as he should do if she was and it had no mention or footage about Libby in the preview. But yea i'm pretty sure Anna Lucia is dead, although i was just starting to like the character of her so it's a shame.

It'd be funny if Hurley went all Sayid on Michael.

Dude...why'd you shoot Libby?

Dude...my name is Hugo Reyes...and I am a fat man.

Dude...Don't make me sit on you, dude!!

the others dont want 'henry', if they did, they'd only want him to punish him for his failure...unless he was supposed to get caught! the tents that michael saw were obviously not all there was to see. We've seen the costumes, we know their hiding SOMETHING, but it isnt their numbers, or their lack of strength. Kate knows this, hopefully the next episode has kate putting some things together and suggesting that michael is a nut job.

The issue with michael is that he is extremely selfish and only has walt on the brain, hes not working with the others, but he THINKS he can make a trade with walt and henry. He is so selfish that he makes a decision right when he finds out about henry, he jumps on the opportunity and kills anna and lets henry escape.

I really wish the survivers were a little less selfish and a little more trusting of one-another... I think the stories could benefit drastically if everyone was a little less cliche, and a little more real. charlie...sawyer...claire...etc.... theres too much tension coming from within, locke and jack need to have a serious talk..seriously.

^ Locke and Jack have started to confide in each other more now after the latest episode, because they talk in the hatch about letting each other know things and then when Locke realizes what Anna Lucia was going to do he said "Jack i need to tell you something" I hope it keeps up and that Jack and Locke get on more 'cause they could be a powerful combo.

If the plan crashed on sep 2004, are they ever going to have a new years eve?? How how have they been on the island?

lol never thought about that :D

Thanks for the Peewee210!

And I still thinking that island or that place is a Role Playing Game. Because somehow the characters are 'possessed'. In this case, Michael would be 'possessed' by the man that 'Henry' was talking about. Thats why his face on this ep.

Its true that we dont know (yet) who was killed, based on the preview, could be

ana, because hurly dont have a tear on his face :p and he said "at least you are ok"

.

And Micheal is taking away (using this preview as reference) all the 'bad' guys. Bah. Who knows. They make the show based on the rating, so, its unpredictable.

The issue with michael is that he is extremely selfish

Thats true. But he dont know about 'Henry' until he comes to the hatch. At least thats what we saw. And he seems to be confused at the very end of this ep. Thats why I say about the 'possession'

Well, all their background stories point to them having trust issues. Jack with his father (not to mention Jack has to fix everything himself), Kate with her father, Sawyer lost his parents (due to his father killing his mother and himself) and became a con-artist for revenge, and Locke has issues with his father. Damn...seems a lot of people have parent issues. Then there's the issues with the kids which would be Michael and Claire. Michael doesn't want to lose what he just got back and Claire thinks she has to raise Aaron on her own. Charlie has issues with his brother due to him getting Charlie hooked on drugs. Then there's Hurley who lost family members due to his use of the numbers.

From his story he told Locke, he wasn't supposed to get caught, he was supposed to take Locke back with him before he ran into Rousseau's trap. Although his story does fit, otherwise why would he help Locke? I think all his mind games were meant for Locke to get angry at the other Losties and to get Locke to come with him.

The Losties are living the pretty sweet life though, I mean they get free food like sausage and free wine. Shame all the women seem to be dying one by one though. Then again, Michael said the Other camp is full of women :shifty:

Btw, IMHO the show is deviating from its primary goal. Though the first 55 minutes were watchable there wasn't anything lost-like in it. Except the Jack's Father and Ana Lucia relation there wasn't anything great in it. The last 5 minutes saved me from calling this episode a total bogus. Though I am not losing any interest and will continue to watch Lost with the usual enthusiasm, I do think they need to explicate about Dharma Initiative, Hanso Foundation, The Others and their motives rather than stretching the show on Libby-Hurley romance, etc. I am not saying that I don't enjoy that stuff but hasn't it been continuing a little too long? Aren't they postponing the 'real stuff' a little too much ? This whole season I have been thinking that the next episode is gonna be great , I wait for it with skipping bats and all I get is the same old Henry Gale playing with people's minds and losties busy in their love life instead of working upon escape.

Don't worry, it seems like things will pick up pace a lot now. Especially with Locke and Eko heading out next week. And next week maybe we'll find out why Eko was in Australia since it seems to be Eko-centric.

I'll assume that they finally found a way to kill off Anna Lucia, since they've been having IRL problems with her, as well as the actress playing Libby (Both were picked up for DUI a few months back, and Michelle Rodriguez has been noted as being notoriously difficult to work with. ). The way I see the scenario playing out;

Henry states that Locke is one of the "good ones", which would explain why Henry was sent to get him. If you think back to the episodes where they first introduced the Tailies, Mr. Eko killed some Others, and they found the list, with only some select names, which one could speculate was a list of people either to be killed or taken, depending on if it was a list of "good ones" or "bad ones". At any rate, Henry failed, and the Others would probably assume that eventually Henry would talk...especially since the Others seem to know intimate facts about each of the survivors. So they'd definately know that Sayid was a former Iraqi torture specialist. So, Henry must be eliminated, otherwise the game is over. With the Others abducting Walt, whom they wanted anyway, then getting ahold of Michael...what better tool to use than someone whom the survivors all trust, that the Others have a definate control factor over, with the keeping of Walt. So, it was just a matter of instructing Michael what he must do (in order to have access to Walt), giving him some lines to recite to rile up Jack and everyone else, releasing him injured/weakened enough that he'd have to be taken down into the hatch, where they are keeping Henry. Michael tells everyone his lines about the Others being animals, living in tents, having barely any weapons. Jack, who'd already been pumping himself up with his ideas of starting an army, goes on the warpath to get the guns from Sawyer. Now, obviously Jack would want Michael armed and leading the charge to the Others, since he'd know the way, so he'd be given a weapon. At that point, it was just a matter of when he'd get access to Henry in order to do the deed. As it was, it was made even easier because of the actions of Anna Lucia, and Michael had the oppurtunity to take out one of the "bad ones" (I'll asssume Anna Lucia is one of the bad ones, since I don't consider a murderer to be good). So, Michael pops Anna Lucia like it's nothing, since, like I said, she was probably "bad", and goes to set up Henry as being her murderer. Where he screwed up was by popping Libby. Notice how he's calm when he shoots Anna Lucia, but seems to sorta freak out after he shot Libby, leading me to believe that she wasn't mean't to be one of the ones to die. Then he goes in, shoots himself in the shoulder (a non-vital area) and pops Henry, under the false premise that Michael was shot during the scuffle that occurred after Henry had killed both Anna Lucia and Libby.

Just my thoughts, YMMV.

Apparently not, apparently MR has known from the beginning her character would be killed and apparently didn't even tell her co-stars. It was just an unfortunate coincidence that things happened the way they did.

I don't see any point to Michael killing Henry though. If anything Henry is a potential bargaining piece for Michael. Michael probably hoped that by springing him he could get Walt back.

I'll never understand how people can get away with DUIs and yet my wife can't get a license 'cause she's diabetic. What a country!

Rodriguez should be ashamed. Or any well known actor for that matter. Others look up to them and they are not setting a good example by breaking laws.

As far as the diabetes thing, that is unfair, but it also makes sense (somewhat). Your wife being diabetic could faint or lose perception or any number of things at any time, and it is a condition that can't be prevented, and something that most people don't take care of appropriately. Not driving drunk can be prevented by not being an idiot, and for some reason this country would much rather be ok with letting someone be an idiot, than understanding that someone with diabetes usually knows when they can drive, and when they can't (as I am sure that your wife does everything she can to keep her condition stable and is very responsible about it all.)

The thing about famous actors getting DUI's that really gets me, is can't they hire a driver? Even if they had to get a $200 taxi ride or something, would it be THAT big of a deal for someone who makes thousands of dollars an episode? The other thing is that from her pictures, she looked pretty hammered, which makes her DUI a pretty serious one. 0.17 I believe was her BAC, when the limit allowed is 0.08. I'm just glad she didn't hurt anyone.

And I still thinking that island or that place is a Role Playing Game. Because somehow the characters are 'possessed'. In this case, Michael would be 'possessed' by the man that 'Henry' was talking about. Thats why his face on this ep.

I too think that Michael was under hypnosis or something, or control by a Charles Xavier-kind of person. I don't know, it's the way he moved, talked and reacted, seemed weird, and I do not think he'd kill anyone just to get walt back, specially not in a so cold blooded way (she was even crying and everything, c'mon). He's one of the good guys, so, something must have happened to him when hi was away.

I cannot imagine how Libby could live, even with Jack there, she was shot in the gut, and not just once but twice. Even with the blankets, the bullets would just pass on through, maybe slowed down, but nevertheless just as deadly.

Anyway, found this... has a recording of the 1-877-HANSORG phone bank: http://www.tvsquad.com/2006/05/03/hanso-fo...g-whats-it-say/

one thing bothers me, ana lucias death. if someone one YOUR side betrays you like michael and kills you unexpectedly, youd stare them straight into their eyes, and she does not do this, she simply stares away and dies, and they died so quickly? im not sure if im skewed by hollywood or not but people in movies die way longer than that with one shot in the.. stomach area

It appears AL might have been shot in the lung area. But I agree, Libby probably shouldn't die that quickly (who knows, maybe she'll live long enough to tell them Michael did it).

For some reason I don't like this episode at all.

IMO flashbacks are pointless if the character dies right away, hehe. It happened with shannon and then ana lucia (maybe boone too, missed that part). Anyway it's not like jack was ever going to find out, so it doesnt matter anyway.

The way libby was shot right after ana lucia made me think: mm they're firing them because of the DUI thing. And that's makes this episode the less impressive and it even looks "cheap", if you know what I mean.

I hope libby isn't dead though. You don't make an episode showing that libby was in a mental institution and then kill her in the next one... (or 2 episodes after, whatever). I hope she stays longer though.

http://community.tvguide.com/thread.jspa?t...d=1146762008644

That link still doesnt explain Libby's supposed death. Maybe we'll find out next episode.

And the way lost tell things, you end up loosing in the story. They have like many "open" plots... back-stories from flashbacks, and things in the island we don't know the relation (WHY they got there, WHO is dharma, WHO are the others, WHAT the others want). I really don't like michael, but I think for sure that he talked with the others and came back to kill ana lucia (who happened to kill 2 others). Ana lucia killed two others now she's dead. Mr Eko killed other 2, and in the preview you see him falling.

Wasnt Mr Eko going to explore some place with Locke in the last episodes?

I don't like the way this season is ending :(

    • You've tried DuckDuckGo and Brave Search, now get serious with SearXNG by Paul Hill Over the last decade, it has become quite trendy to dump Google Search in favor of privacy-preserving alternatives such as DuckDuckGo, Startpage, and Brave Search. These search engines have done a very good job at highlighting dodgy practices by Google, such as adjusting search results based on what it thinks you’ll like (filter bubble) and stalking you around the web to advertise to you. While these search engines are good starting points when compared to non-private services like Google, there are still quite a few issues with them. For example, both DuckDuckGo and Brave Search require running non-free JavaScript in your web browser, which is comparable to running proprietary software on your computer, meaning you can be sure about what it’s actually doing in the background. Another issue is that these search engines are hosted on the respective companies’ servers, and you are using a service that you don’t control. Finally, DuckDuckGo, while offering privacy features, relies heavily on Microsoft’s infrastructure for its results and, in the past, has permitted Microsoft tracking scripts. If you are looking for a more private search solution than DuckDuckGo, Brave Search, and Startpage, then I recommend taking a look at SearXNG. It is a privacy-respecting metasearch engine that can be used via different public instances, which is useful for mobile users, or you can install it on your computer or server and run it locally with maximum control. Unlike Google, Bing, or Brave Search, which crawl the web and have their own search indexes, SearXNG is a metasearch engine, meaning it taps other search engines, stripping your identifying data, such as IP address, user agent, and cookies, in the process. Your search query is sent to the other search engines you enable before aggregating the results. SearXNG has deployment flexibility. If you are a casual user or a mobile user and don’t want to run SearXNG locally, you can use a public instance that is hosted by someone else. The main problem with this is that you are putting trust in the maintainer of the instance regarding stuff like logs that they may keep; good hosts should have a privacy policy explaining their policies. If you are trying to use SearXNG, you can also install the software on your device and then head to 127.0.0.1:8080 in your browser and search from there. While you don’t have to worry about a third-party admin like the public instances, search engines could ultimately block your IP address if they frown on you pulling in their search results locally. If you want to run it locally, it’s a good idea to use proxies or VPNs to hide your actual IP. You don’t have to worry about this with a public instance, as search engines never see your IP address. The main privacy benefit of using SearXNG is that it isolates your identity from the underlying engines that it’s capable of searching, such as Google and Bing. These search engines will only see requests coming from a generic server, so they can’t profile you and create a bubble filter that influences what results you see. This also ensures that your search engine doesn’t turn into an echo chamber that prevents you from reading alternative points of view. As a free software project, you are allowed to inspect SearXNG to make sure there are no negative features bundled inside. This sets it apart from the privacy search engines mentioned earlier because you can’t check their source code. As a meta search engine, you are not restricted to getting results from one source. Due to the fact that it scrapes content from other websites, your SearXNG instance will periodically get blocked from different providers, so it’s good to select a range of sources as a backup. While enabling all of the services will give you great results, this can make searching slower. I am personally happy with slower searches for the best results, but you can always check which providers are slowing down your search from the search results page and disable them to speed things up. If you want decent results quickly, enable the main search providers such as Google, Brave, DuckDuckGo, Qwant, Bing, and Yahoo. This way, you get wide coverage without the latency. On the Engines tab in Preferences, do note that there are different tabs, such as General, Images, and Videos, with their own providers that can be toggled and are not covered by "Enable all" while on the General tab, so be sure to dig into each. Just a note, if you want to enable everything, press "Enable all" in one tab, then hit save at the bottom of the page, then do the next tab, and so on. If you press "Enable all", then do that in each tab, and then save, nothing will stick. When I had just some of the search engines enabled, I searched “define nefarious” and results came back with the definition of “define” - obviously that was a sucky result. However, when I had everything enabled, it found dictionary pages for the word “nefarious” and even had an inline definition on the sidebar, which is quite nice too - that was delivered by WolframAlpha for anyone wondering! Probably the worst thing about this meta search engine is that the engines you select are saved with a cookie, so you must enable them on every new device you use SearXNG on, including if you decide to go into incognito mode with your web browser. Honestly, I would say this is the most annoying aspect, and perhaps if your browser lets you choose a separate private browsing search engine, then it would be best to use DuckDuckGo for this portion of your browsing. Another weakness of SearXNG is the random blocking of it by search providers. When you are on the results page, expand the “Response time” box, and it will show things like “Suspended: too many requests” or “access denied”. This is why it is good to enable several providers so that there is always a fallback to get results from. I won’t pretend SearXNG will be for everyone, however, if you enable all of the providers and put up with the slower response time, the results can be really amazing. Even if you don’t want to use it as your daily driver, keeping a bookmark handy that links to it is a good idea if you ever feel like doing a deep dive into a niche topic where other search engines are just failing to bring up any good result, due to the amount of sources it looks on. If you’re interested in radical user control over the software you use, installing SearXNG locally can also be a good idea, but be prepared to be temporarily blocked from sites if you trigger bot sensors without a VPN. Personally, I’ve opted to use a public instance, rather than install it myself. If you want to use it via a public instance, head over to searx.space to find a provider. Let us know in the comments if you have used SearXNG or its predecessor, Searx. What do you think about the quality of the results?
    • Dear Neowin, If it is not too much trouble, can you start using the new-ish designations for Insider Preview? "Experimental" is different than "former Dev" as it can apply to different models, eg 26H1 or 26H2 etc, right? No need to seed confusion IMHO. And, please "finally" update your graphics. OK?
    • Did you see their FAQ, its quite good. Have a look in the Advanced section. https://delta.chat/en/help
    • Just install Linux Mint that is a real blessing and many times cheaper because you can continue using your old Windows computer/laptop with the latest Linux updates.
    • Interesting share -- however it does not make sense: Email messages get stored somewhere, so how is Delta Chat "based on email" and decentralized without actually storing anything? By Web3 standard practices, the various Relays would require dedicated storage to make messages available to the recipients (like a large series of message queue channels, akin to racks of traditional post office boxes)... and Contacts must be two-way confirmed in order for encryption keys to be exchanged (ostensibly every key-pair is uniquely bound between sender and recipient) and the Relays would preserve the public keys in order to facilitate message carriage... or every device stores all sorts of keys and contact info. All of this to say, decentralized messaging is like running Bluesky nodes except instead of discovering/browsing public feeds by various posters (at the given node) these Delta Chats would be relaying encrypted messages (via Relays) that only trusted recipients would have the appropriate decryption key (their own private key) to read it. But this doesn't solve the "it's like email" sales pitch. The only way it's like email is that there's encrypted binary stuff being transported from your app into the federated ether of Delta Chat Relays for others to decrypt (hopefully only the intended recipient)... but outside of this federated relays framework, it is absolutely nothing like email.
