"Lost" TV Show - Currently Season 2 (US aired)

Something thats been bugging me. When Sayid first goes out to get the boat, he tells Desmond where he is going, and he says something along the lines of "going to see the hostiles are you". Any ideas on what this is about?

Kelvin called them the hostiles and told desmond that they were out there. He even thought locke was a 'hostile' when he knocked on the hatch. So he probably just 'borrowed' the name from him.

I was watching TV yesterday when i saw a new Hanso ad. At the end there was a new website to go to.

The site is about Yellow Labs. Not sure how it ties to anything but it is supported by the Hanso foundation so maybe it is a tie in to Season 3 or the game? Not sure.

Ok i am stupid, I just realized that Vincent is a Yellow Lab. Maybe that guy that said Vincent is behind everything was right! :shiftyninja:

the guy on the page's name is Dr. Vincent "Wally" Bol?

Vincent as in the dog's name.

Wally as in a nickname for Walt?

Wow, that retrieversoftruth site is really interesting! A few things that relate to Lost:

-there's a little blurb on an Australian TV show that had a Yellow Lab on it. You can see it under the History and Notoriety section.

-a picture of a Yellow Lab on a beach very similar to that of Lost is in the Clairvoyance Facts part.

-a quote from Dr. Vincent "Wally" Bol? was made in Australia to the Hanso Foundation only one week after the crash. Or was the crash in 2004? uh...:ermm::

It sounds like Vincent was listening to Walt's thoughts then? Was he responsible for the Polar Bear and the rain stopping? But if so, why didn't the Others want Vincent, too?

Another thing to ponder...

Lost progresses at a rate of 30-40 island days per season. This means if Sun is 1-2 months pregnant, we won't see the baby until Season 7 or 8...and I don't think Lost could last that long. But if it does, (Y).

Which means we could get a nice "happy 2005" when the shows air in 2007. WHO KNOWS!

There's also the possibility that the island may speed up her pregnancy (assuming whatever Desmond did didn't stop the stuff that caused the rapid healing powers of the island)

On that ROT site, on the page for "History and Notoriety", if you check the source, and see the alt text for the timeline image you get this. All of it is included in the image except for what I bolded below...

This page should serve as your introduction to notable events and individuals without whom this site could not exist. It is all too real. 40,000 BC - Cave paintings of light colored dogs are found near Ceci Est Tout Faux, France. Scrawl around imagery is translated: yellow dog warns us all. 1899 - A yellow Labrador is born to Black Lab mother in Austrailia. The Porter family, who owned the dog, insists it be burned as an abomination. He is saved by the child of a kindly servant named Lloyd. 1903 - Lord Dilfer of Trent barely avoids death from an oncoming carriage. He later says he was warned by a friend, though he was accompanied by no one but his loyal yellow Labrador retriever. 1938 - Vincent 'Wally' Bolé is born but not into greatness. That will be thrust upon him soon enough. 1959 - The government's secret testing and experimentation on Yellow Labs is leaked to the press by a clerk at the hidden facility in the Yellowstone National Park. He tells reporters he was 'compelled' to reveal the information. 1991 - 12 homeless men sleeping beneath scaffolding of a building under construction in New York City's lower east side escaped death just before the scaffolding collapsed. When asked how they managed to get away without injury they told authorities that a yellow dog warned them. All were immediately committed. 2001 - After extensive work with yellow labs I create The Retrievers of Truth. 2006 - I launched ROT site to massive praise and overwhelming newsletter requests. Have you signed up?

So what? Lassie's saved more people than that ;)

That has me puzzled now. He gave Sayid the talent to torture people and knowingly says that "he'll use it someday" but there he is stuck on the island going crazy. So did Kelvin **** off someone in the Dharma foundation and get reduced from recruiting people for the project to the project himself? Then again, why would he refer to people he might have known as "hostiles."

A) yes that actually happened

b) how does that relate to lost??

I thought that it was interesting that it was embedded in the source, but not shown on the image. What are they hiding! :iiam: :)

omg exclusive footage from the lost game.

looks like its staying true to the spirit of the show. second series specifically.

and looks like fun aswell.

Looking sweet (Y)

I wonder if it will come with a keyboard for the console versions or will it be an extra?

I was watching Lost last night on channel 4, and it was episode 9 (What Kate did). I knew a part in lost where the Horse appears and you can see that weird object on the far right.

lost.jpg

As that part came on last night, it was edited and it didn't appear!

    • Payday TWO!! Is 13 years old man I feel old - I remember trying it out and if I did not know I would say 5-6 years ago or something
    • Payday 2 engine upgrade adds 64-bit and DX11 support, drastically shrinks install size by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Payday 2, the most popular entry in the heisting game franchise, is getting a surprising update after all these years. This is slated to be a complete engine upgrade that will enhance almost every aspect of the 13-year-old title, targeting performance, loading times, file size, rendering backend, and more. Developer Sidetrack Games is planning a beta to test out the new version ahead of the full public launch. The development team today revealed that the long-awaited upgrade to the 64-bit architecture is happening with this Diesel 3.0 engine update. By letting the game use more ram than 4GB, it is said to improve stability and compatibility on most hardware. It should also help modders in the long term with implementing larger changes too. "While many of the changes are made on the backend and not everything will be visible to you guys because it is a massive rewrite of the entire codebase, there will be a lot of things that you can look forward to," Sidetrack explained. Payday 2 will also hop over from DirectX 9 to 11. Instead of visual improvements, this is slated to reduce the amount of VRAM used by the title, letting more lower-end hardware access the title and run it better. Since these changes would require a complete redownload of the game anyway, Sidetrack says it has revamped "the game's packaging and bundling system." This should reduce the installation size from 86GB to 32GB. "So, now it's time to finally move the game to your SSDs," added the studio. The Payday 2 Diesel Engine 3.0 update is entering open beta on June 30 for Steam users. No console release plans were announced today. Sidetrack Games says it has been working on this complete rewrite of the codebase for the last nine months. While these changes should break most mods, the studio encouraged modders to use the beta period to repair their creations with support from the development team.
