I know this is a little late to be noticing, and I did try for a few minutes to find my answer via the search function but I came up empty handed.

What is this "Subscriber" group? Where can I get more information about what it means?

Buying an email account gives you access to a year of 10mb POP3 email. It also greatly supports Neowin. One thing you should realize, though, is that it does not buy posting rights for the forums. The only thing guaranteed by that subscription is your access to Neowin Email and the survival of the ocmmunity under growing costs.

You loose out, I believe, but dont quote me on it as I am most likely wrong there. I subscribed the other day, may use Neowinmail sometimes, but the only reason I signed up was to support my favourite site. Thats the main reason. Also, for ?6.69, well you can't go wrong.

As Space Guy pointed out, you stil lretain access to the email for the remaining duration of your subscription. We have had issues where members assumed being a subscriber also bought posting privileges and this is not the case. We need to make sure everyone abides by the same ruleset as to avoid any problems. We all want what's best for the community and the rules are a good place to start.

Posting privileges are granted to your when you sign up to the community. Being restricted/banned removes those privileges from you and your account. Just because you pay to use the email doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and never get banned or restricted.
