Hi, another "bug" I have found, somewhat related to the bug I mentioned above...

In the right-click->New menu, when you hover a choice, the text colour doesn't change to white. This doesn't happen in, say, the Arrange By Icons choice.

I have attached an image which displays these two issues (I hope this wasn't mentioned before...).

BTW, I'd still like to know how do I apply the shellstyle.dll modifications. Is it simply a matter of replacing the original file? I'd rather not experiment with this...

First I would like to say that this is the best visual style I've seen for quite some time..

I have one bug and one request..

fig 1. Arial font makes the start bar to shift down one pixel.. The Tahoma and the GE Inspira is ok..

fig 2. ..and I would love to have the scrollbar be highlighted or tinted when you are hovering the mouse over it. (like the icons in the quicklaunch are also highlighted when beign hovered over) :D

Another little thing I have noticed: When you click on the scrollbar in a window, its state doesn't change, that is - it only changes when you move it.

It's not a bug or a missing image, but rather a... Functional "issue", shouldn't the scrollbar state image change to the "pressed" image when clicking it rather than wait untill you move it?

The problem only occurs in windows type of things... it appears to be ok in Firefox for me... O_o

I like it. However, please edit the checkbox and the radio buttons. Do not use the OS X ones. You didn't use OS X features on other widgets. Please provide a thin taskbar, an ObjectDock theme, and a WindowBlinds port. The start button could have a hover effect. Don't forget a compact start menu. The start menu could also have some silver. The dark blue to black does not seem to fit. You did a very good job. It is very beautiful.

your post makes me laugh!

This theme is very nice. I've been using it for a few hours and have noticed very little bugs other than the ones stated here like the menu's on buttons int the taskbar. And btw- this theme,in my eyes, screams for a silver'ish color. And maybe colored captionbuttons; like they are now but colored when hovering over them. Or is that too mac'ish ? I like the word'ish ;)

If I want an iPod ? I already own one :p However I would like one of those with clickwheel. Mine's a 3rd gen.

Carry on....

    • Edifier's popular R1280Ts bookshelf speaker can be a nice upgrade for your PC desktop audio by Sayan Sen Yesterday we covered a very nice discount on Sony's high-resolution SS-CS5M2 speakers, which are currently on sale for just $178. It packs the rather rare super tweeter that offers an additional level of clarity and "airy"-ness which a tweeter cannot provide. It's a passive speaker though which means it will require external amplification, which will cost extra. Let's say though that you have a budget of under $150 but still want a decent-sounding speaker that's active. The Edifier 1280Ts can help in this regard, as the unit is currently at a decent price of $130 (purchase link under the specs table down below). While you will not get deep sub-bass from the 1280Ts, you should get clearer vocals and highs like cymbals than a cheaper satellite-based 2.1 system. Obviously the soundstage and imaging will also improve due to the better reproduction of highs. As mentioned above, the Edifier R1280Ts is active and so does not need a separate amplifier, as it's a powered system with its own amplification. A great thing about this model is that you can add a separate active subwoofer to it too using the "sub out" option, which essentially acts like an LFE. This way, you can add in the missing deep bass. The technical specifications of the Edifier R1280Ts are given in the table below: Specification Value Total Output Power 42W RMS (21W + 21W) Driver Units 4-inch mid-range/bass driver + 0.5-inch silk diaphragm treble driver Frequency Response 52Hz – 20kHz Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) ≥85dBA Input Sensitivity Line In1: R/L: 500±50mV Line In2: R/L: 700±50mV Inputs Dual RCA inputs Outputs Sub Out port for external subwoofer Get it at the link below: Edifier R1280Ts Powered Bookshelf Speakers - 2.0 Stereo Active Near Field Monitors with Subwoofer Line Out: $129.99 (Sold by Edifier Online Store, Shipped by Amazon US) This Amazon deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified. • Appreciate the focus on UI performance, but this is going the wrong way. Instead of optimizing performance, coding to lower latency, etc. this is just throwing horsepower. This is lazy.
    • I agree, but that's the popular online opinion about them, so I followed it. I do think they have their point, no matter how combative they sound most of the time.
    • M$ can bring whatever the hell it wants, and then guess what's not installed in my Mac.
