l77Il7H Posted October 13, 2004 Share Posted October 13, 2004 seriously, how the hell did folding @home go into my comp? i have NEVER installed it on this comp. it just appeared one day when i saw my comp running at 100%! i went into control panel to search for an uninstall file, but it don't exist becuase i never isntalled the program. is this some spyware trick that they are trying to pulling on me? Fedorpheux Posted October 13, 2004 Share Posted October 13, 2004 i dont know for sure, but sometimes stuff like that is bundled with software that you did download and install. lots of times they either slip in some random check box that you have to uncheck if you dont want it, or sometimes they dont even give you a choice and they just install other programs when you download some program and just want to install it....i dont know for sure if folding@home does that, but it's possible Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
