Ayepecks
The big game (for Texas High School Football, at least) starts in a few hours! Anyone else watching? It's on ESPN2 at 8:30CST (the time it will be in Southlake when the game starts).

Ayepecks
Watch HS football on ESPN? What's next, peewee football on ESPN2? 584735343[/snapback] 1. Were you complaining when they were airing LeBron on ESPN and ESPN2? (Out of high school) 2. Carroll's ranked #1 in the nation, Denton Ryan #19, I believe. LeBron's team was only #1 in their state. 3. It's already been done before this.

Ayepecks
Well, you're one of the few :) I think most people were wondering what the buzz was about, so they wanted to see him.
BroChaos Veteran Posted October 15, 2004 Veteran Share Posted October 15, 2004 i complained too. it's just crazy. no high schoolers should be tv celebrities for sports...
Ayepecks
Agreed, no high schoolers should be celebrities -- but it's good to see the near future of sports and watch to see who improves, who turns out to be a bust, etc. It's just like the minor leagues, if you ask me. Of course not, I can care less about high school prospects. 2. Not being rude or anything, but I can care less if they're ranked #1 in the world. 3. Unfortunately, yes. What this does is send the wrong message to HS athletes. Hence the reason why the NCAA doesn't allow the players' name to be put on video games. School is first, then athletics. BroChaos Veteran Posted October 15, 2004 Veteran Share Posted October 15, 2004 yeah, these athletes are all conceited and they showboat enough as it is. this is only gonna make things worse. but didn't watch much of this game, as the college game was a little better. god miami is pathetic....they should be dropped to #16....
