Half-Life 2 has gone gold.

and if the pi?ata just fell into the ground?

the article don't says that "a person" broke the pi?ata...

:laugh:h:EDiT:b>

Back in November 1998 when the Half-Life release candidate had been approved by Sierra Studios and had gone gold, the guys and girls at Valve celebrated by smashing open a large pi?ata shaped like a headcrab.

This time around however, thanks to our friends over at Half Rules, we can now reveal that the pi?ata is shaped like a scanner and is hanging in the lobby of Valve's Headquarters in Bellevue.

Attention... this picture is about Half-1 and 2<;)> ;)

Um, well if the game just went gold it most likely won't be seen in stores till around that time anyway.

Thnx for confirming that :s ha! No but i mean cause everyone here is getting all worked up etc and yet....

If were gonna poo our pants over this then what you all gonna do when Valve release an official statement.

All Im saying is "Calm Down" for now anyways....

technically, 15 days... i hate these waits. my bet is that it's gonna leak before nov 1st.

though this thread didn't give me a heart attack... i had it when i read "Half Life 2 Leaked....." only to read it back later on and notice it was "Halo 2 leaked....."

hope :p

jeeze the amount of times i have heard the name Half Life 2.... just annoys me now. :|

the game better be good.

itll probably be like doom3.. everyones all in anticipation and it will be warezed days before its release.. then everyone will play for 4 hours and call it boring.. then it will fade away in anticipation for another game that requires even better hardware ;)

Well, this is a perfect advertising campaign from them. I mean keep people guessing when it's going to release so much it's the most talked about thing around.. my hats off to them.

Don't forget your tin foil hat! The leak was one big stunt too I guess, as far as you're concerned...

lmao. I wanted to make a tin foil hat for my teacher... but that's another story.

I hope there's an official statement regarding this sometime next week... if not, I'll dismiss this as another shinanigan.

With the 1st of November rumours, I was just about to get annoyed cause i'd need to fork out ?35 for HL2 when it came out.. problem being that I am planning on getting a PSTwo on the day of release too, which is the same day.

Then I remebered I already bought HL2 and CS: Source on Steam... hoooray:DD:))

i'm really expecting lots of immersion from this game. it looks like it's going to be way more fun than doom3. doom3 was graphical goodness (it was fun too. but it's biggest point was graphics). i think hl2 is going to be playability goodness :D

i really wish the best for this one. hope it's not a let down like doom3 (i really did expect a bit more from doom3)

Your to young to know better.. I'll let it go. But this has been done by lots of companys. It's not far fetched, so be naive if you want :p

    • Looks the same as the Air, actually. Check it out in person.
    • "This transition will take several years so we shouldn't bother doing it at all" is a naive take. This is completely normal for all specifications that cross-cut software, hardware and multiple industries. Look at the PCI specification for another example, consumers barely have PCI-E 5 yet PCI-SIG is working on PCI-E 8. AV2 will take multiple years to get adoption and even then, even a decade from now people will still have older hardware that doesn't support it. That's fine, because the savings still add up as newer devices add the hardware to deal with it. The goal is never to get 100% on the new spec overnight, but to gradually adopt it.

    • I named Hitler because he is the de facto anti-semite. But you don't have to hate Jews to be a genocidal maniac. In fact, these days, so called semites are the ones acting in ways that would make Hitler proud.
