I have a DVD-RW drive inside my PC, and a firewire CD-RW external.
In order to restore DriveImage 7.0/2003 images saved, I have to boot using the PQRE (PQ recovery environment) CD (which doubles as the DI7/2003 original CD) then choose the restore source.
my drive backup images though are DVD-size (4gigs and up). I can't boot from the internal DVD-RW drive and then use a DVDR disc as a source to restore from because PQRE doesn't load itself into memory but needs the CD in the drive...which is my DVD-RW drive.
the problem is...my BIOS (shuttle SS51G) doesn't let me boot from external firewire, which is what i was hoping to do.
my quandry, i'd like to make a copy of my PQRE cd, but make it so it has the CD bootsector/PQRE/program AND contain the 4GB backup image, preferably all on one DVD rewriteable.
can anyone direct me as to how to do this?
does my problem make any sense? or am i confusing myself into the corner?
