actually... a "complete" sentence would consist of a subject and a verb, if i am correct. therefore making "I am" a complete sentence. "Go" however, is just a verb. There is no subject. I am not sure on it. But, I will ask my english teacher on tuesday when I get back to school to clarify it.

Go. Is as short as it gets. The subject is you understood. Even though it isn't there it is implied and for some reason a person can do that with "you." Don't have a clue why but hey English never has made any sense to me.

About the shortest sentence...I was thinking about it. You guys are correct about the "Go" being the shortest sentence. But being the shortest _complete_ sentence is another story. I think complete means complete. With Go, the you is understood, so its not there. So its really only half the sentence. I am, has both the subject and verb in the sentence, nothing is understood, it's there, making it complete. Since the you is understood, it's not there...

know what i mean?
