Wrong. The shortest complete sentence is:

"Go."

actually... a "complete" sentence would consist of a subject and a verb, if i am correct. therefore making "I am" a complete sentence. "Go" however, is just a verb. There is no subject. I am not sure on it. But, I will ask my english teacher on tuesday when I get back to school to clarify it.

again, try to make the comments on the facts not so bashful to me, cause I didn't write them, I'm just posting them.

5. In ancient England a person could not have sex unless you had consent of the King (unless you were in the Royal Family). When anyone wanted to have a baby, they got consent of the King, the King gave them a placard that they hung on their door while they were having sex. The placard had F.U.C.K.( Fornication Under Consent of the King) on it. Now you know where that WORD came from.

Actually, F.UCK comes from a German word that means "to strike"

I'm not sure this one is true. I have heard that is comes from the phrase:

For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.

( And it's 'if you're bored' not 'if your bored')

That was a Van Halen album.

Go. Is as short as it gets. The subject is you understood. Even though it isn't there it is implied and for some reason a person can do that with "you." Don't have a clue why but hey English never has made any sense to me.

About the shortest sentence...I was thinking about it. You guys are correct about the "Go" being the shortest sentence. But being the shortest _complete_ sentence is another story. I think complete means complete. With Go, the you is understood, so its not there. So its really only half the sentence. I am, has both the subject and verb in the sentence, nothing is understood, it's there, making it complete. Since the you is understood, it's not there...

know what i mean?
