mplayer (and all of its derivatives) can handle .wma files just fine. In fact, I think its possible to compile mplayer with xmms support, and then in xmms settings somewhere tell it to use mplayer for filetypes it can't handle on its own, and then xmms can play .wma files. I might be totally wrong, though, because I use mpd/ncmpc for my music needs.

I use XMMS because:

a) I'm familiar with Winamp

b) It plays music, and that's it (by default)

c) I have all my music in 1 playlist, and just random play. Nothing special.

It provides me with everything I need.

exactly.

I'm just curious but what is the bitrate on those files?  I have 5212 files and it's 25.5 GB.

I have 2 Main folders, Albums & Misc

All of my albums are ripped at 320KBPS

Misc is just random songs I like, but don't have the albums to. They're in 320 if I can find them, otherwise whatever I get.

aka: BMP http://www.sosdg.org/~larne/w/BMP_Homepage"

I completly agree however I recomend getting it from cvs as it is very stable in there. Still has a few features lacking but I find it to work pretty nice. Its basically turning into what xmms should have been turning into but isn't.
