I use rhythmbox currently, but the truth is. All music players for linux are lacking. In fact most music players for every platform are lacking. The best media player I have ever used was winamp. And xmms is not an entire clone. I want a media player tha ports over the winamp library. That is the best program ever. So if anyone happens to have the source code for the winamp library(like say a certain ex-nullsoft president  ).....

Winamp runs on Crossover. Not perfectly, but almost.

Wow, AmaroK looks amazing!!  :woot:

Too bad I'm using Ununtu now....

Run synaptic, and make sure you have all the Universal repositories added. I think amarok is up there, but you should add KDE base or KDE Core to make sure you have everything you need it to run.

Actually, you can install all of KDE, and even boot into it, but somehow, that just seems kinda wrong.

but people use foobar because of performance, so running it in wine kinda defeats the purpose.

Why? It's not noticably slower through wine, nor does it take noticably more memory or cpu cycles than it does on windows.
