amaroK is a true Linux/ KDE killer application. It's the best audio player, regardless of the operating system, IMHO. Yeah, it's a memory hog. But it's simply great and well worth the few additional MBs. Plus, if you use a real database backend instead of the builtin sqlite (MySQL or, even better, PostgreSQL), it's blazing fast. Scanning a 6GB collection on a 1.4GHz Opteron takes only a few seconds. The online integration (Wikipedia, lyrics, amazon.com, GHNS) is cool and needs next to no ressources (thanks to the KDE libraries). Scripting and CSS theming is very sweet as well, as is the iPod integration (generic USB MP3 Player, iPod Nano and Video, Creative and Cowoon support is expected to be added very soon, probably also Sony PSP integration). amaroK 1.4 will be really cool. Nothing revolutionary, AFAICT, but it adds even more polish and some optimizations, plus iRiver, updated iPod and Moodbar support. Too bad the 1.4SVN collection scanner is quite broken right now.... :-(

Amorak is good. But personally i use madman and xmms. Im not too concerned about looks. Madman is slow while scanning for files. So i wouldn't really recommend it. But while its not scanning its really quick! I'm currently testing out Zinf http://www.edgy-penguins.org/non-geeks/moreapps/zinf.html .

Hey Linux dwelling Neowinians. I just wanted to know what is the best audio player out there for Linux. I'm currently running Rhythm Box but I am not TOO happy with it =/

I wish there was iTunes for Linux ; ;

Dunno if anyone has said this but SongBird is very similar to iTunes. I personally just use RhythmBox

I've used amarok, i didnt like that it took quite a bit to start up. Banshee was good, but i didnt fall in love with it. Im currently using SongBird and i like what i have experienced so far. It has an iTunes interface, which is nice for people that are used to that. Wish that winamp was made for linux as well. :(
