I think I've tried all the most common audio players now. I couldn't get on with Rythmnbox, and for some reason, the sound quality wasn't as good. Songbird seems to me to be the wrong "platform" for a media player. Banshee, Audacious, and Beep all have their good points, but for me Exaile suited my needs better. Just lately I've been using Listen, and I really think this one's a stayer. It's like Exaile, but with a better media library. A lot like Winamp's actually. And yes, Winamp was my audio player of choice in Windows...

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant the ability to play last.fm stations and listen to them...not just scrobble.

Ah, OK. There is a 'Dynamic' button in exaile which claims to 'Fetch similar tracks from Last.fm', but it only seems to add tracks already in your collection to your playlist. It doesn't play the Last.fm radio stations.

It seems that many are liking Amarok, but unfortunately you'll need the KDE libraries to use it. And I'm reluctant to install the KDE libraries. So I'm using the Amarok clone, Exaile. I used to use Banshee but it chokes on my extremely-large music library.

A decent EQ is seriously needed within one of these Media Players, either that or a system wide configuration. One downfall compared to many Windoze MP's.... I'm finding my sound in need of some refinement, which is not offered by any of the Linux Media Players. Saying that, Rhythmbox is one of the smoothest players I've seen for gnome, thus it is my recommendation. EQ next release, please?

    • Did Labour lose big? They had losses there is no doubt. However let's look at the reality. The conservatives have 168 councils I believe. Labour have 113 and Reform...38. That's a lot of growth for Reform granted. But that is not a wipeout, Reform don't have the majoring in fact at 76 I believe the Liberal Democrats have nearly twice the councils Reform do. So I am thinking there is a lot more noise than signal going on here. Now then let's talk about the law. It's an age restriction. We do it for cigarettes, **** and alcohol. This idea that some kids will find there way around it so it's not worth even trying is really really sad. Hell we can't stop every murder. Should we stop trying there too? That is the logical conclusion.
    • A game not selling doesn't mean the people working on it did "bad work". It reviewed decently well. It was also on gamepass on release.
