The weather object is called Core Weather and it actually is running standalone,  No konfabulator or desktop X is needed.  Link

It keeps asking me to d/l desktop X when I try to run it, Should I d/l it or not. Howd you get it to run standalone :blink:

Don't know if I'll ever finish all of the elements since it requires a per pixel change and couldn't be accomplished with a hue shift. See: Indeterminate progress bars...grrrrr
