dunno, probably not i think they treat it as an extra

im getting a new laptop soon and i prolly looking to insure it cus i might wanna take it with me when i go away to college.etc so it would have to be insured for whilst travelling.etc

Then your house insurance should cover it, it would probably would work work out cheaper. If not I would suggest Endsleigh Also check with your college, they may some deals around also
