Wanna get rid of the NFSU2 intros?

I found a way to get rid of all the intros that show up when you start nfsu2.

It's really simple actually.. here's how you do:

1. Go to the "Need for Speed Underground 2\MOVIES" folder.

2. rename these files (ex. change the extension to .bak):

- ealogo.vp6 (as it says, the EA logo)

- THX_logo.vp6 (as it says, the THX logo)

- FMVOpening.vp6 (the one where you soar through the city)

- PSA.vp6 (the one where the girl talks about safe driving)

- blank.vp6 (a short black sequence)

3. Enjoy a faster starup ;)

Nice to know. Would be nice to try with some other game too. I noticed more and more you "have to" watch the intros.

does anyone know how you can change the background when loading tracks- ie when starting a race, going to garages..that pic with the 2 cars and that woman..?!?! thats getting annoying too

Did you do a full installation?

Try searching for a nocd patch.. that's what I'm using.

Whilst we're on the subject of removing, amongst others, the THX logo... I saw this on the iNtaRw3b the other day and thought it was funny for about 2 seconds. It's probably old but anyway...
