The Release Of Half Life2

Recommended Posts

I am mad i had a chance to get a copy of the game for 20 dollars and I passed it up less than 12 hours ago. If there were ascii art that could show my emotions it would be really big, complex, and a color never seen by man. Lucida console ofcourse. but for now I will go with a good old  < should suffice. I am going to be skipping school 2 play. i skipped for halo 2. I skipped for nfs2. I skipped for like 3 other games. gawd dam i have only been to school 4 days this month due to new games. a;kslrjgh;aljsrhg. I;m going to fail because of the oveerload of actually good games coming out on a near weakly basis. I only miss school for 2 things sickness or mortal obligation. in this situation it is a combination of both. Somone slap some sense into me.

yea Gabe isnt stupid, Valve know that millllllions of people are sitting here waiting to hit play, there will be god knows how many servers ready to handle it.

hahaha i told my CS 1.6 pro friend who hates source and HL2 that due to the bandwidth needs, all servers apart from HL2 are being shut off for two or three days.

haha hes ****ed off, he says he has a MGL match tomorrow hahaha

I hate it when games get over-hyped  :pinch:

Unfortunately.

I don't even like Half-Life, I couldn't stand the original, but I hope this one is good for the simple fact that Doom 3 really shattered my expectations for looking forward to any game now. Also, the PC is in need of a good game, period. Not just one that RTS fans like, or RPG fans, or FPS fans...but everyone in general.

That is truly sad. The game will be there regardless of whether you play it now or tomorrow or the next day. To fail classes and ignore your everyday life is completely moronic.

I really hope the game is everything you expect it to be.

completely moronic? just because he wants to enjoy something he's waited a very long time for?

skipping a day of school will not make you fail....

and skipping skewl to play some HL2 is what God intended when skipping was invented...

RIPPED :pinch:

i heard there was people at valve today getting in some last minute reviews as vavle doesnt send review copies out but will fly press in to review the game aperently everyone went home exept the reviewer and one guy to say behind with him. guess they must have it on an automaic 12am or valves has remote access to the turn on the hl2 authentication server

I call BS. Absolutely no way they're just flipping a switch and heading home on the launch of the one of the most anticipated games of the year. I guarantee you the whole Value team is there waiting for Gabe to waltz over to his office to run the command that turns the activation servers on.

AWW MAN. According to that time-zone graph posted... the release time for NZ was suppose to be 7pm.!!!

DAMNIT i got my hopes up, now i have to wait 2 hours :(

mwahaha this is awesome

    • (macOS) Screen zoom was broken for me in beta 1 and it's now working properly in beta 2. In terms of performance and UI design/consistency, these betas are already much better than Tahoe.
    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.
