dude it has nothing todo with server load.

Launch HL2 in OFFLINE MODE and it wont even boot up. Explain that one with your theory of server load :pinch:

Yep, most of the stuff it needs is already there with HL2. It is the same thing for CS:S etc etc.

Its working ok now, but the lag is terrible in most of the servers I've been on, yet its still good fun :D

I can find a lot of servers with low ping, but when you're actually in the game it really sucks. Everyything lags to new extremes. It wasn't doing this this morning for me, but now its unplayable...

Yeah, I havn't played it yet (started loading it as I left to work this morning) But i can't wait to try it tonight. Supposidly the CS:S update they did last night will allow people to download maps via the server they connect to so hopefully we can get some scoutz knivez and some awp and aim maps :shifty:

Its mainly lagging because everyone swamped the steam servers to download it and the dev kit, so just hold onto ur pants.
