Hey Rogue` if I knew you already started a thread I wouldn't of started this one. But hey, I think now everyone knows - ooohhhhhh I cannot wait for this..!

Rumour has it, it might be "Team Deathmatch" or maybe both modes will be available (that would be nice) :) only a few more days to go (hopefully not many).

In one hour the News page has been updated twice on Steam:

- 1st the Deathmatch Picture

- 2nd another HL2 review

Also, there was a spike in the server monitor for Steam itself, and the forums are saying that 7pm (USA) is the time that Valve issues updates, only 2 hours to go (rumours, rumours I know). But hey, I'm not working tomorrow and it's only 2am (UK) over here...I might just stay up a little longer ;)

I don't know, seems odd to do DM so quick like that. No pre-loads = Steam will DIE when and if it's released.

Well, if you think about it... all of the gun models, map textures, materials, etc are already loaded onto your computer. The only thing that would probably need to be downloaded is the interface for it and maybe some netcode fixes. There already may be HL2DM maps in the cache files as well... We will soon find out :)

True, but we won't know until it happens. Yet, if Steam goes down, we know what happened LOL

I doubt it'll be bigger that 20MB, so the servers maybe flooded slightly - but we'll all get it the second it comes out.

It won't be as bad as that activation process that took some people days to sort out.
