As a DJ, I'd like to say I can tell the differences. Tupac's voice has been slowed down to go with the new beats. No rhythm, I didn't like it much. AMARU Records can go shoot themselves.

BOYCOTT NEW 2PAC ALBUM!

I'm sure most of the 2Pac fans out there have heard the new album Loyal to the Game. It is all over the Internet and it will be released in retail version shortly.

We at 2Paconline want to ask all 2Pac fans to NOT purchase this new album.

This has gone too far. We have been representing 2Pac online ever since before he passed away and have always supported his new releases. We have been through 8 years of posthumous releases and have watched what they have been doing. We have been loyal through all of the lyric editing, remixing, unmastered releases, off beat production. We accepted it because it was still worth it hearing another 2Pac album with new material.

However, Amaru is now taking their degradation of 2Pac's legacy to a whole new level. They are now messing with 2Pac's vocals in ways they have never done before like speeding them up and slowing them down and distorting the pitch until they sound like garbage. This is mostly a by-product of Eminem's production. He can't produce a beat to match 2Pac's flow so he tries to make 2Pac's flow match the beat. He doesn't realize how god-awful this makes the tracks sound. Anyone that knows anything about remixing will tell you that its much less noticable to distort the speed of a beat to match vocals than it is to distort the speed of the vocals to match a beat.

Furthermore, we now have chopping of 2Pac's lyrics like we have never seen before. Ghetto Gospel, for example, is missing over 60% of its lyrics! And to top that off, we have vocals added by cutting and pasting 2Pac's voice. We have him saying things like: "G-Unit", "Hey Em Turn that **** Up!"

Do you think any other legend on 2Pac's level would have his/her work degraded like this?

We need Amaru to respect 2Pac's legacy. To release tracks the way they were recorded. To hire producers that 2Pac would have worked with. To have guest appearances by people 2Pac would have worked with.

So please do not purchase this trash. Download it (you can find links to it on the boards) and burn it if you really must. But do not donate to or support the Shady/Amaru collaboration in anyway. Instead support 2Pac this year by purchasing one of his unmolested albums like 2PacalypseNow, Strictly 4 My NIGGAZ, Me Against the World, THUG LIFE, All Eyez On Me, Makaveli, or R U Still Down?

What else can you do? Give AMARU Records a call at (404)508-9511 and let them know what you think about their latest release and how they are affecting 2Pac's legacy. Please be professional when you call.

i also posted this.. now here is something from the little booklet that comes with the CD.

This is the 9th album we have released since my son left us. I have worked, struggled and called on many people who my son loved while he was here, and on the many who loved him back. In these last 8 years, i have had too many people to count, come to me and say that they are Tupac's brothers, sisters, comrades, soldiers, and friends. Many have said that with outTupac, they would have made it through their hardships-would not have made it to the other side wehre psersonal success was awaiting them. They vow that they are here for me and here for tupac or for whatever i may need. Yet in the same conversation, they ask if i have $150,000 to send their way, or if there is an unreleased Tupac verse for the single on their next album. Not until now has anyone appreoached me to give everything they have, and to give it with such integrity.

I have built and now stand strong on the foundation of individuals i beleive were brought to me by tupac so that i am able to receive the gift of generosity given to me by a young man who not only asked for nothing in return for his services, but refused to accept anything i offered. This is the spirit i want my son's work created in. This is the spirit that we all need to search our souls for to give to each other, unconditionally , without personal agenda for no reason but that it's the right thing to do.

I believe this young man has given his spirit to Tupac's project because of what Tupac's spirit gave to him and to all of us. young, old, male, female, black, white and brown. Take example of what Tupac gave us' take example of what this young man who never had the opportinity to meet tupac gave to this project. Thake example of the people who worked on this and all of tupac's projects before, who knew my son, who gave with every ounce of strength  and love they have in them and who worke through constant remainder of their own loss to stay loyal to their gola... I suggest you stay loyal to your dreams. stay loyal to the struggle Tupac died for to make this world a better and safer place our children to grow in... I thank you for the support you give my son through everything.

I must personally thanks Marshall Mathers, fro stepping up to the plate and in Tupac's words... I think him for staying loyal to the game...

Peace, Love, and Respect,

Afeni Shakur

and this is from eminem.. too tired to type it last night.

As with many artitis, and people in gerneral, I too was touched by Tupac's music. For me to say that phrase "i am Tupac's biggest fan" would not be a fair statement. There could be no such thing. I'm sure that there are millions of people who would argue or challenge that statement, and the debate could go on foreever. Tupac reached so many people with such power on so many different levels that every one of them could argue that they are his biggest fan.

However, I do know this much; from the very first time i saw him in "juice" to this first album, everyone just sort of knew he was gonna be as star. As you followed him through his career,, through his ups and down, run-ins with the law, verious beefs and the mdeia cirucs that began to surround him, you could see that his life had started to become more like a movie. You watched his every step, followed his every move, it almost felt like you were growing up with him. I truly believe, in Tupac's 25 short years on this planet, he exceeded and superseded all expectations. Tupac also lived up to and stood up for eveyrhitn he believed in - no matter what the outcome may be. To me, that is the true definition of a soldier. Although i never go the chance to meet or know him personall, Tupac was and still is one of the biggest musical influences on me to this day. I hope everyone can see how it shinces through on this album. In the name and spirit of everything that Tupac stood for i hope you all will enjoy and appreciate these tracks that we have put our hearts and soulds into creating. While listening, imagine what Tupac could be today, if not stopped short of his full life's potential...

P.S. Thank you Afeni, fromt he bottom of my heart, for giving met he opportunity to be invovled in this project, for being the strong, brilliant woman that you are, and for giving birth to a legend. I hope i have done justice on both your and Tupac's eyes, God Bless.

- Marshall

i think they sould leave his lyrics alone. dont produce it with 50 cent or anyone else in the song, i would say a album with nothing but his unrealsed lyrics and unrealsed original music but that would lead to a ton of people making there own mixes (jay z, the black album acapella = the purple album, brown album, grey album, ect ect). eminem is f*@#ing up

well alot of his music that he pre recorded. doesn't HAVE beats to them... ALSO, they have to mix up the beat well um, make them higher quality but, yeah they should just leave his original lyrics alone.

this masquerade has to stop.... tupac is dead... unreleased joints have been released over time.. NOW stop butchering his songs!

Eminem...heh... I used to respect him when he was on albums like soundbombing and old freestyle mix tape... but now he's just a corporate little prank that likes to tell people that he is still underground. COME ON people... he makes crap music! it's one of the worst stuff ever... Each album he release is a race of "how crappy can I make an album, but I don't care because I have a horde a blindless fans"

He's a MTV sell-out! he doesn't freakin care about hip-hop...

Man, I though at the time that Master-P was the worst **** that could come out of this new hip-hop era... well ohhh noes I was so wrong... Here comes Eminem, the freestyle champion from Detroit that messes up the whole industry... it's a damn shame if you ask me.

What's next?? A remix album of Nas' Illmatic with Pokemon sounds? Or Shiana Twain signing Notorious BIG for Christmas?!?

F****in stop!

well... I still got my old albums... call me a old retard I don't care... I don't want hip-hop to evolve in the circus of pop music.... it was beautiful music! Now, it's not different than Britney Spears an Co. (at least se looks hot... can't say the same about 50 cents ROFL)

Hello,

I'm new to this website and I've been following the posts on this subject. I too like eminem's music, he contributed to the rap game big time! As for changing 2pac lyrics... well, i was a little upset at first. But seriously, that sounds real good! And it's pretty damn cool hearing Pac saying **** like, "big ballin ass nigga name Trice!"

We have to look at what this is doing... and its doing exactly what every true 2pac fan would want it to do. Which is getting this man's legacy to be alive. Newer beats and newer artists to collaborate makes Pac look good... and nets 2pac newer fans too! What more can we ask for?

-n.f.

p.s. eminem and shady records got zero dollars for this new album

welcome to neowin and i disagree with you.

the man is dead and you don't have to go and change his voice or slap together bits of his voice to keep his legacy alive.. they are making it worse by doing this. i just don't think its fair that they have to do this. WTF is his mom thinking?

i can understand if you take his voice and build a beat around it and release it, but to go and change his voice is wrong.. and what got me very angry about this album is that most of the beats are crap and they all sound the same as any other commercial rap song.

Ok, when i saw this post, I voted NO! And i'm still voting NO to eminem changing/altering his voice. Let's stop talking **** and actually look at this album for instance... btw- i have many unreleased underground 2pac cd's that i was lucky to get ahold of on multiple occasions.

1. soldier like me feat. Em on the hook

-great song, and good beat, props to Em. Could've used a collaboration like may be 50 cent?

2. the uppercut

-great song, and good beat, props to Em. This could've used a collaboration like may be Em himself to spit on this track!

3. Out on Bail

-great song/lyrics... the beat is ok. this is kinda rediculous cuz he yells out "Drop that **** EM!" at the beginning and then at the end, "This my mother****in' NIGGA Em on dem mother****in' boards in case your wonderin'" LOL, this is laughable and pretty damn stupid! so this song is ruined... may be not... i just skip to the next song so I dont have to hear that part!

4. Ghetto Gospel

-OMG.... I almost cried when I first heard this song! Em delivers for days with this track! :woot: Getting Elton John on the hook makes it even better man! BUT... obviously there's a but... wtf happened to the song?!?!?! Like... can you say BUTCHERED and robbed not just short but 2 ****ing verses too short! I must say, I hate the original beat to Ghetto Gospel and this version's beat and idea is phenomenal! but why not just have 2pac spit out the 4 verses and let Elton John do his thing on the hook?? What is so bad about that idea? It's ****ing fool proof!

*i must apologize for the hostile reply to track 4, i really liked the song right off the bat but it crushed me when i kept listening :(

5. Black cotton feat. Em and Noble and Kastro

-this is laughable... cuz Em (who is in fact white!) is on a track called BLACK COTTON! this again ruins things cuz he wouldn't come 30 feet near a song like this!

6. Loyal to the Game feat. G-Unit

-great song but what happened to the original with Treach and Riddler? meh, still a good song but why have 2pac say random **** like "G-unit in this mutha****a" and naming off "50 cent"? man, i dont understand!

7. Thugs Get lonely Too feat. Nate Dogg

-good song, great beat, props to em! and great collaboration too!

8. N.I.G.G.A. (Never Ignorant About Getting Goals Accomplished) feat Jadakiss

-good lyrics, good collaboration, bad beat! I'm pretty sure they could've cooked up a better beat for this song.

9. Who Do You Love

-great lyrics, obviously! Possibly the worst beat for this song! This song reminds me of "How Do You Want It"... well, similar to it. I'd imagine a better, more "danceable" beat for this track!

10. Crooked Nigga Too

-one of my all time favourite Pac lyrics... the beat is great, good job Em. BUT... oh come on, I know ALL of you were expecting this, BUT this is too fast, it's rediculous. Like the one line goes, "A loaded AK47 layin on my hips so don't trip"... like you can't even hear what he's saying! It's hard to decide on this song, I like the lyrics of the original BUT I hate the beat of the original! :argh:

11. Don't You Trust Me feat. Dido

-Eminem delivers! Major Major props!! I can see this song being a great hit and I can see a video for it too. :D

12. Hennessey feat. Obie Trice

-lol, you know right off the first 5 seconds that this sounds like a typical Obie track. Good beat, great collaboration, and great song. Yelling out "Big ballin ass nigga named Trice" could've been cut out! The original is good too but the 2nd verse of the Obie version is amazing... I like how Em incorporated Pac's "random" lyrics with Obie's:

Obie: Detroit niggaz off ****

Pac: (Robbin niggaz in the do' ways)

Obie: That's right

Pac: (With my four four, that's the sure way)

13. Thug for Life

-good song but what a weird ass beat... what was Em thinking? And, this song could've FOR SURE used a collaboration. Not impressed with the beat at all.

BONUS TRACKS

14. Po' Nigga Blues (scott storch remix)

-I liked the original better! The beat could've been a lot better. (not em's fault)

15. Hennessey feat. EDI

-i heard this years ago, and i liked it. I like the newer version with Obie better now.

16. Crooked Nigga Too (Raphael Saadiq remix)

-the speed of the song is same as the original... i don't know why Em sped it up on track number 10. Pac is already spitting pretty fast ! whatev, i prefer the Em version although its rediculous sped up!

17. Loyal to the game feat. Big Syke & Riddler (DJ QUIK remix)

-again, where the hell is the original with Treach & Riddler? I dont get it... prolly the worst track on the album. Not Em's fault.

So this is the breakdown, I love Pac's music regardless and I've bought every single CD he put out including this one. Despite all the BS, it's still worth your 10 bucks.

everyone thinking eminem can't produce is gay. Personally, I think the Eminem beats sound better for Pac then his beats.

585107842

Eminem executive producer over Suge? Please stop listening to my music. Thats just sorry....Suge is a mofo but he made sure all of Pac's albums were CLASSIC and nothing else

p.s. eminem and shady records got zero dollars for this new album

585114672

BEST JOKE ON THESE FORUMS EVER

did you even buy the cd or just downloaded it? obviously not because if you did you would have opened the cover and fliped through eventually coming to the thank you by Afeni Shakur and i quote "the gift of generosity given to me by a young man who not only asked for nothing in return for his services, but refused to accept anything i offered" this is obviously Eminem because at the end she says "i must personally thank Marshall Mathers"

on top of that all you b*t*hing about the producer this or that the cd reads executive producers Afeni Shakur (first) and Eminem (second) and i think that his mom knows whats best for his memory

now go put on some Makaveli gear (also done by Afeni) and buy a brick

Looks to me like 2Pac is not dead. Because he keeps releasing albums every year.

585027992

In case you didnt know Suge Knight treated him like a dog after he posted 2pac's bail and kept him in the studio and thats where most these unreleased songs come from

MAinstream sucks, along with G-unit (like there really g's now there not even living in the ghetto anymore, fakers) and 50 cent( another studio thug) this is why i sitck with my northern Kali RAP, and as far as hip hop goes i stick with what WAS real ( Wutang, RunDMC, Tribecalled Quest etc etc.., )

585030271

wow i didnt know there were people who listened to rap and didnt know that G stands for gangster. however the G in G-Unit stands for gurilla as in the gurilla soldiers of south america

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
