TechTV Is rising from the dead.

Recommended Posts

Well, Microsoft is introducing TechTV once again, with a bit of a name change of course. Get ready to welcome MSTechTV into your homes in fall of 2005.

A qoute from joeytheintern.com

"Edit: Yes it will be a brand new channel called MSTECHTV, it will be

on cable right next to MSNBC and CNBC. All this should start Q3 of

2005. 3th quarter of 2005 "

Evidence leading to this from a Yahoo! TechTV Forum:

Beginning of Post

? Its all about G4TV not about Techtv, G4techtv will become G4TV very

soon Q1 2005. Look out for ZDTV to make a come back Q3 2005. ZDTV will

make a come back as MSTECHTV due to microsoft being the support behind

the whole thing.?

?If you have a MSDN Subscriptions and can enter the forums and talk to

MS you can read about it there. So sign into your MSDN account at

Microsoft and read about it from MS themselfs.?

? So F G4 and comcast we will have our Techtv soon. Not soon enough.

But we will have techtv again. Like a phoenix rising from a fire,

techtv will be back and better then ever. So watch out G4 your time is

limited.

?G4 just sell it to Micrsoft now so everyone can be happy. I bet its

worth more now then it will later when its in the ground more, maybe 5

1/2 feet under. Sell techtv now and let us have our techtv.

Edit: Yes it will be a brand new channel called MSTECHTV, it will be

on cable right next to MSNBC and CNBC. All this should start Q3 of

2005. 3th quarter ofEnd of Post d of Post

w00t!

Its coming back most likley.

Now, on his post it says that it is a rumor, yet at the bottom he did add that "EDIT: " Message, so, you know.

BTW: People saying its gonna be pure MS. Remember that TechTV before was owned by a Microsoft Leader, and didnt mind them bashing Microsoft, Windows, Advertsing Firefox, etc. They will still be laid back most likley, the only reason why the "MS" is there so they dun needa pay the pricks at G4 for the "TechTV" nANYONE WITH A MSDN SUBSCRIPTION THAT CAN ACCESS THERE COMMUNITIESMUNITIES if you could, please try and dig up more information.

MSNBC/CNBC are allowed to talk about Microsoft, bad mouth it if they want, promote Firefox, etc... I've seen it before, but they always put or say somewhere MSNBC is part of a joint venture between Microsoft and NBC, something along those lines.

I hope this is true... MSTechTV would be better than G4techTV ever was, as long as they hire back some of the originals... come back Leo and Patrick!

I'm not so sure about this... Back when ZDTV was still around it was the greatest, when it changed to TechTV it went downhill and G4 was the death blow.

I hope it doesn't end up being one sided. To me the best part about ZDTV was that it wasn't dumbed down. It used to be The Screen Savers was for advanced users and covered lots of stuff from Linux, BeOS, Mac, Windows, ect. Now it seems TSS is very dumbed down and some of the basic questions that they decide to answer just annoy me, I used to learn something from the show now it just bothers me.

Back then they even televised keynote addresses from big tech shows.

I hope this doesn't end up being a 24 hour MS commercial or a How to fix Windows channel.

I hope this doesn't end up being a ... How to fix Windows channel.

I can see this still being a big part of it... alot of questions that are received relate with Windows or PC problems. I'm sure they want to answer questions for everyone, but they probably want to answer questions that also can be helpful to other users.

I hope they bring back Call For Help... it's much needed, as on The Screen Savers, you may only see one call answered... that's a bunch of crap. They need a better show that anyone can call in and ask questions.

Leo, Patrick, and Yoshi would ROCK. I watched faithfully from the Kate days up to the final blow of firing Yoshi, Foo, and Alex. The new channel will need to get picked up by DTV and dish. If they can do that then G4 will DIE!!! If MS can pull this off and make it like it was back in the ZDTV days then this will be the best thing that came from MS since MSDOS.

Does anybody know if Leo knows about this? Has anybody checked out his foums?

    • Supposedly it's fixed on Series consoles: https://support.forza.net/hc/e...e-Issues-in-Forza-Horizon-6 This game is so much better than FH5, and it's all because of the map. It's diverse, big, and so much to see and do. I've bought every single Forza Motorsport and Horizon game, and by far my least played is FH5 at 100 hours, followed by the latest Motorsport. They've finally made a good one with FH6
    • Sorry to be that guy but, Given Trump won again even after a failed first term it would appear attacking the other side is how to gain Government in America. Voters when it came down to it didn't give a s**t about those Democratic achievements and voted for Trump over an intelligent, qualified mixed race woman. We need to face up to this uncomfortable reality. There are more Americacan voters who support racism and christian bigotry along with defending and supporting pedophilia, adjudicated rapists, multiple time convicted felons etc than those who don't. Btw, that is how the world sees America now. Not that Trump voters care as they attempt to cocoon themselves in a white supremacy bubble.
    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.
