Can you replace it with a .swf clock? That would be cool if you could use the Longhorn slate clock (.swf version by Windows X, you'll need permission if you use it).

How about patching the Taskbar and Start Menu control panel applet? The icon is only 32x32 not 48x48 and is pixelated.

Abut the clock: Please, PM me with the more info you can about this. Also I dont like too much the longhorn clock..but anyway, we will se what I can do.

About the Taskbar and Startmenu icom: tell Microsoft :p , ok i will try, but it will be hard cuz it doesnt implies a modification, but a redesign.

OK. Thanks. I'll PM you later as I have to go out.

I made a mockup in paint of slate and another .swf clock. Personally I prefer the XP flag version, I think it looks good and I prefer it to the current clock. Obviously the clocks are at the incorrect as the screenshots were taken at different times.

While those are nice looking, the idea is impossible to implement. The clock hands and dotted border are not images in timedate.cpl. it is a custom control in a dialog. You would either have to be one hell of a hex editor or know how to rewrite the file to get the clock hands like that. The only real solution that can be achieved is putting the clock behind the control like XPero did in his original screenshot.

This is not possible at this time because the installor patch files and does't replace them. I do recomend that you wait a little bit before making you cd because xpize 3 will be coming out very soon

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
