New England.  They have the full package.  Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.  Philly is a very close second.

Pittsburgh has virtually no offense....I don't care that they beat both.  Dallas almost beat them.  That says enough.&nbsp:D:DMoved herei>

do you have any idea of the team stats? or did you just make that up?

if you actually knew stats rather than telling us your opinion you would see that the steelers are much better overall than both teams.

E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!

In all my life, of 23 years :D , this by far is the best Eagle's team that I seen, considering this years team is breaking all the club records and have blown out most of their opponents by double digits. I haver never seen the team play so well on both offense and defense because it is usually lopsided one way. It has really been an amazing season so lets hope we can get over the hump and into the superbowl.

P.S. I think the Steelers were lucky we were having an off day, which happens now and then. Hopefully we should see them in the battle for PA bowl.

@GBUASH: The Redskins have the #2 defense. If they can just get their offense going they will be a real formidable opponent. Pittsburgh almost getting beaten by Dallas is sad though. No one should almost lose to Dallas or even lose to Dallas. Hopefully that does not happen to the Eagles next week.

Boog, the steelers has the momentum, you cant deny that, and their offense is actually resourcefull. Agreed, they dont have the best QB, nor the best RB nor the best Receivers, but they have chemistry, or Ben Roethlisberger success is just a big coincidence?

My fav are the steelers but they are not going to win the superbowl (Im not even sure if they are going to be in it) just because Ben, despite how good he is, he is still a rookie and I dont think he can handle the pressure in playoff games.

But give them 3 more years...

Hmm.

In looking at the full package, Pittsburgh's lack of offense makes my choice. Pittsburgh's defense is #1 in the league, but at a hair behind them at #2? 4-9 Washington, who only 40/yards per game worse than Pittsburgh on offense. Pitt has a good defense, but no one is comparing them to the Ravens or Bears.

Pittsburgh rated #22 in the NFL in offense.

New England rated #9. Like I said...Pittsburgh has virtually no offense. Philly is better by a hair than NE in offense and Defense, so my theory behind picking NE? Experience in the big game....where Philly has....well, choked in the last 3 years.

That being said. I mentioned Pittsburgh's offense being weak. You obviously are the one who didn't know the stats, as they flat out tell you otherwise. NE #9, Pittsburgh #22.

4th time is the charm!!!  We have the X factor, Pinkston!  Teams won't be able to handle that action.  :D

hehe..I tried to say that as kindly as i could, jmole. I didn't want to get you Eagle fans upset. I know how vindictive you all are. ;)

The Patriots are better of the 3 12-1 teams. They are a proven winner. They know how to win the big games. Now since they have a running game, I can't see any team that will prevent them from getting their 3rd super bowl in 4 years.

I don't get upset when people say we choke, we are used to it. 76ers, Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies. You name it, we blew or we will blow it. I do not think you can lose the way our teams have over the years. I think we have broken all mathematical possibilities when it comes to losing it big when it counts in the end. I just hate when people say our teams suck, except for the Phillies, when obviously we don't since the Eagles, Flyers, and 76ers make the playoffs in their respective sports year in year out, except for the Phillies once again because they really do suck. It is just unfortunate that the city is cursed and can't win championships. I would seriously just be happy if we made the Superbowl even if we don't win it.

offensively the Pats only have around 500 more yards total on offense...that's not even 50 more yards a game. the ranking really doesn't mean that much. it's more about the yardage. plus the fact the steeler defense has allowed about 1000 yards less defensively than the patriots. the steelers have one of the best rushing offenses so no reason to rack up yardage. and another fact, roethlisbergers's passer rating is actually higher than brady's.

the steelers aren't a greedy team. that's the main difference here. they aren't like indy who runs up the score and stats constantly. the steelers can have the ball in a game that they have the lead and be 10 yds away from the end zone and still kneel it with 2 minutes left. it's all just a different style. and to base a better team by offensive ranking only is rediculous.

...and to base a better team by offensive ranking only is rediculous.

Ridiculous, but somewhat more accurate than basing it on defense.

Pittsburgh

Points for: 290

Points against: 190

New England

Points for: 365

Points against: 217

So, those 500 more yards on offense = 75 more points.

Those 1000 less yards on defense = 27 less points.

Now, both teams have scored 4 defensive TD, so the spread is still there. Like I said, Pittsburgh's defense is good, but they aren't legendary.

New York Jets..........Enough said

You say this, yet they've lost to both AFC teams actually on the poll.

I'd have to say the Pats. Sure, the Steelers took them down at home, but you can't win ever game. When it comes down to it, the Pats have shown that they know how to get there and win it once they do, unlike the Eagles. The Eagles do have more talent with additions like TO and Kearse, but the Pats are the best until someone can prove otherwise in the postseason.

    • Bluesky COO warns social media regulations could destroy competition from small startups by Paul Hill Fears that increasing government control of social media risks regulatory capture by the biggest social media firms were raised again recently. Bluesky’s chief operating officer said in an interview that social media bans for children and tighter regulations for social media firms risk creating a world where there are only a few social media platforms run by companies with the deepest pockets. Regulations on social media firms have been very lax since they appeared for mainstream users in the 2000’s. This gave Meta, Snapchat, and Google time to build up their user bases and get entrenched, with Meta being the most successful. Now that Meta has succeeded, it has been attempting regulatory capture. By pushing for more regulations of social media, Meta hopes to make it more difficult for rivals to challenge it. For its part, it doesn’t need to worry about the cost of regulation because it has a lot of money to spend, whereas startups do not. Speaking to CNBC, Rose Wang, Bluesky’s chief operating officer, said: “I support the protection and the safety of youth, the question that we have then is at what cost, because essentially what I’m scared of is in the long term, we’re headed to a world where there’s about three to five platforms, and extreme heavy regulation of those platforms, and basically the whole compliance teams of these platforms are 10 times the size of our entire team. So, basically, we’re living in a world where it’s almost impossible for smaller entrants to come in and build healthier spaces. These platforms have led to a place where the bottom line is the thing that drives what they do... so I understand why governments have to step in and regulate, because the platforms have done nothing right.” She said that while she is not against regulation, there needs to be more channels between the small to mid-sized players and regulators to help protect them. She says that big tech players, on the other hand, “who we know are circumventing regulation,” need to be regulated. Essentially, the Bluesky position is one of nuance, rather than absolutes. While Bluesky’s proposal may preserve competition in the social media space, it still doesn’t address the massive privacy implications these age verification measures introduce, such as handing over sensitive identity documents to access age-gated content.
