Don't they check there products before they sell them?

It doesn't look this way!
Is it just me, or is it totally wrong that people say "it's ok that the PSP is SO buggy" (or any other device) just cause it's the first generation? Cause I think whenever you buy stuff from such a high profile company, I think the least you would expect is to get a quality product. I mean, can someone that actually paid the $$ for a PSP state that "oh, it has a lot of bugs, and I'll probably have to buy another one, but I don't care cause it's first generation".

That's just wrong to me, or I might just be wrong. What do you think?

I pointed that earlier, but Sony's fanboy are going to kill you!

ABC and a half!

Yeah, and the DS fanboy trolls in this thread will lick your arse for you :hmmm:

Yeah, sme people are like that. DAMN I hate fanboy-ism.

Myself, I never compared the DS quality with the PSP's. I already have my money ready for the PSP launch in North America, but not if those problems spreads mad fast.

LOL - OK, back on topic, I suppose its fine to say that people have differing opinions on hardware depending on what they have bought in their lives. I personally hope that these bugs are ironed out for the US / UK release date. I'm really looking forward to my knew battery powered hand-toy.

Nobody asked me anyway, but I have being a Sony Lifetime User, and I have never lost a Sony product unless some negligense on my behalf... My suggestion would be, STOP BUYING ON OUTLET STORES!!!! Read carefull if you do....if it says Refurbished, well...that's a problem about to happen... it's your money anyway...

Here's a worrying one to say the least:

Look at the square button and the PCB where the square button meets it. The top translucent picture really shows it off, it's mis aligned :s Now I've not herd anyone complain that their square button doesn't work but surely that's not right?

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D

I find it hard to believe it's an oversight, they must have designed it that way. We really need to see the rear shape of the square button to see how it lies. There's no way Sony could've missed something as glaringly obvious as that.

I own a sony digital camera, sony camecorder, and sonyplaystation.. And none have every given me problems our have broken. I have owned sony products for a long time and never had defective parts. Quality has always been great from sony. This is just a bad batch that has come out, it will be fixed. Who would have thought twisting an electronic device in ways it wasnt meant to be twisted would do something bad  And how many flatpanel monitors have been sold with dead pixels, must not be alot if they come with a 8 dead pixles or more for a refund policy

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
    • Now disable that stupid OneDrive backup request when Windows starts please. So unbelievably frustrating to only have “remind me later” instead of “no and never ask me again”
    • Hello, The Media Creation Tool is still at v10.0.26100.7019 from October 2025. Just looks like the backend has been updated. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
