PPP version 2.4.3 in FC3?

I'm trying to setup Poptop Open Source PTPP server for VPN access using Linux as my server (namely Fedora Core 3).

The PPTP package wants PPP version >= 2.4.3. I tried to update but the update conflicts with the currently installed package: ppp-2.4.2-6.4.FC3.

I can't find any builds for a newer version of ppp, and actually I'm kind of surprised that FC3 doesn't come with the later version available.

I could just force the PPTP package to install and see what happens, but it would probably be best if I resolve this first.

Any pointer?
