Xbox Live - Gamertag lookup.

Is there anyway to lookup Gamertags anywhere? If i can, it'd be good to retrieve email addresses, AIM address and alike.. Is this possible anywhere? The only place i can even find Gamertag lookup is Bungie.net, but this doesn't offer any personal information about my buddies, etc.

Gamertags really don't contain much information (until linked to a .Net Passport, that is), so I'd have to say you can't. If Microsoft wanted to, they could make a lookup form - but haven't.

A gamertag is just that, a name and nothing else. Unless it's linked to a .NET Passport, there's no other information associated with it.

Sure ok, then... But there's a heap of information stored at Bungie, for each gamertag which appears inaccessible. Is this accessible anyhow, or are we just limited to Gamertag + Halo 2 Game info?

On a side note, is there any place to lookup a gamertag if it has been used or not? Other than doing it on Xbox Live?

Thanks for the link, its interesting, unfortunately i don't think any of my XBL buddies have found it either! :laugh: - Which is why i am trying to do this.. Contacting over XBL isn't as easy as email someone a URL or w/e...
