There is no pat answer to your question. Everyone who overclocks their machine, has gone through a slow process of elimination and testing until they find the right combination of hardware, and bios settings.

I could offer you my settings, and my hardware configuration, only to find that it does not work in your machine. Every machine is different, every bios is different, and your CPU chip is probably different from others, as it is a process of trial and elimination.

You will have to benchmark your results, experiment with new bios downloads, until you are satisfied that you have the best. It took me months to get my settings and hardware compatibilities, and I became frustrated many times. Just hang in there and experiment, experiment, experiment. The solution will eventually become evident to you. It's not an easy process.

Good luck!

The use of bios files from other programmers is usually a safe practice if you have a bios saviour program or dual bios hardware installed. It also can be very dangerous if the bios files are installed with out testing first. TicTac has been around for years and has a large network of overclockers who continually check and test all bios files released before they are made available for download. Read the newsgroups carefully and you will be able to see who you can depend on.

Yes it is possible to fry your bios. I always had a spare bios on hand in case it did happen. They are cheap to buy. Most overclockers have a backup in place should it happen.

I personally have never used the TicTac Bios but have heard many good things about it I have been using the D26 Black Mantaray with good luck using it...Depending on your Ram will let you do 240 or better not just on the CPU itself, many have gotten higher on regular CPUs from what I hear....

I use the TicTac Turbo 22, the original one. It works great. Flashed it on many a mobo, without problems. I went and tried the Manta series, couldn't get any to work properly, basically couldn't get into bios. Flashed to the TicTac D23, end of story. Well, not end. My new mobo comes tomorrow....
