Hi,

As my old NT4 Server isn't PXE enabled, I need a RIS boot disk to start it up in the process of a virtual server migration. I'm wondering, as I use ADS to capture an image of this NT4, if I have to install RIS to make the whole thing works or if installing tftp is enough.

Thanks,

Eric.

If you have the W2K or 2003 CD, extract deploy.cab and look for bootcfg.

sorry to barge in on your thread but I was just wondering if DHCP had to be running on a Windows 2003 server or can the DHCP server be running off a netgear router.

I only ever made it work if the DHCP server was the RIS server.
