ok currently hace a USRobotics Sure Connect 4 Port Router/ADSL Modem

I dont use DHCP on my network, if i buy the above access point and plug it into my router, i take it i'll be able to share my net connection over 802.11 without 2 much hassle? will i have to use DHCP on my USR or can i stick with the static ip addressing i use atm?

I'm trying to keep the costs down by not buying a wireless router with built in adsl modem, so plz dont suggest replaceing my usr

any other cheaper, but good products anyone knows would also be appreaciated

yep, should be fine. you may have to disable dhcp on the access point, but you can absolutely still use static IPs.
