canadian397
Hey, We just got a gamecube for Xmas and I have money to spend so I'm looking at getting "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door". Is it a good game? I like the RPG style games from Super Nintendo such as Super Mario (ya, we've never really had a game system but we borrowed my cousin's SNES one day and I still like Super Mario games :p). Would this be a good game for me? - Barret
Kupo-Cheer
I've heard its a great game, so go for it. I don't think there are many other gamecube games that came out recently that I would get besides maybe Metroid Prime 2, so its probably your best choice. You can read reviews of it too, and the game got Gamecube game of the year over at Gamespot.

jackwanders
I just got this game for Christmas, and I've played about 4 or 5 hours thus far. I like it. It's an RPG to be sure, but don't expect anything heavy or very in depth. I'm a big fan of most Mario games, so that has something to do with it, but the battle system is unique, there are minigames (don't know how many, but I've found a mini-casino w/ slot machines and a "trouble-center" minigame so far), and the dialogue isn't boring, which is a big plus. In fact, there are lots of jokes thrown around. For instance, on goomba in a town early on talks about how Fire Emblem is the best game ever and I quote, "That game rocks my socks!". There's also some self-referential humor, which I appreciate. I'd say go for it.
FlishFun Veteran Posted December 27, 2004 Veteran Share Posted December 27, 2004 Very, very good game. It gets quite addicting, but I fell in love with it. I suggest you get it. (Y)
Laughing-Man
It is a great game and takes a long time to beat. I think it took me 30 hours to beat and I do not have everything there is. The dialogue and side stories are hilarious, especially Bowser's and Luigi's adventures. This game practically shows how creative and well polished Nintendo makes their games. Steffan
this is a great game. I'm at the final boss and got my ass kicked the first time around since I wasnt ready for it. I like the part when you get a new abilities that the chests call it a curse.
