akaladis Veteran Posted March 6, 2005 Veteran Share Posted March 6, 2005 Since we use regedit /s it doesn't break anything. It just changes the doubleclick behavior. AutoPatcher doesn't simulate a doubleclick, so there is no problem. rtk
One more for now.... This version of the Windows Media Player 10 module will install completely silently, with system restore turned off, and will accept the EULA and Privacy Statement automatically, as well as accepting the default (all) file associations. Basically, it'll install without displaying a dialog at all, and will allow wmp10 to be run without the usual setup dialogs appearing on first run. wmp10.amp Later all, rtk Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/262902-stand-alone-modules-for-autopatcher/page/3/#findComment-585662616 Share on other sites

rtk
Good job rtk! 585663145 Thanks Raptor! Here's a package to install Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 with a custom transform and then install the 7.01 update The custom transform prevents the creation of the shortcuts on the desktop and startmenu, as well as the shortcut in the common startup folder. Also, the adbar in the top right corner is removed, as is all the built in advertising junk. The update functionality is left intact, although a "corporate" transform that has that locked down as well is included (edit the .amc to point the transform to corporate.mst instead of home.mst). I've also included the .itw file, for use with the InstallShield Tuner 7.0 for Adobe Acrobat (available Here) so that you can easily further customize the transform. Since the EULA is automatically accepted, I should probably mention that if you use this module, you *should* take it upon yourself to find, read and understand the EULA on the adobe site. Unforutunately, adobe uses DWORD registry values to set major and minor version numbers, so until AP can read these values, I've had to fudge the detection a bit. As well, if you already have 7.0 installed, this module will not currently uninstall or "repair" it, so you should manually uninstall it from Add/remove programs before reinstalling using AP. Comments welcome. acrobat_reader_7.01.amp rtk Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/262902-stand-alone-modules-for-autopatcher/page/3/#findComment-585675473 Share on other sites

+theblazingangel MVC Posted April 1, 2005 MVC Share Posted April 1, 2005 I may have missed a thread about it, but I'm just wondering if anyone could give me a link to instructions on how to create my own. 585705691 simply open up the module editor in autopatcher\tools and fill in the details. Any q's just ask a few tips: 1) the priority field is to determin the order things are installed, you should usually put the date the update/tool/program/tweak/etc was created! 2) if you save a file as "test", the full name will be test.amc. you should then create a folder called test.amc_files to store files in for that module. 3) if you follow tip 2 you can use "Module:\" to specify the modules folder when entering the install instructions. 4) Always make or include existing parent module files when distributing a module. 5) Individual modules are released as .amp files (not amc, amp !) An amp file is just a zip file with the extension renamed to .amp from .zip! Although someplaces wont let you upload amp files, so upload the .zip instead, and explain that people should either rename to .amp themselves, or just use it as it is and use a zipping utility to unzip files to the autopatcher\modules folder.
