@jerry: Photoshop. I used a crop tool, then increased to canvas by 20 pixels horizontally and vertically, used the erase tool to rough out the edge. Finally, I created a new layer with a opacity of 95 percent and applied a 100 percent hardness brush to the two corners (with a fabric texture) and added a 1 pixel shadow to the layer.

You can accomplish the same effect with free tools like Gimp.

Thanks for that :)

OR

you can D/L a program called GuiKit2dlta and ThemeChanger. se the former to convert SS .guikit files to .dlta files, then install with ThemeChanger. For FREE.

Note: SS does have a few advantages (application skins being the main one), however I don't think that it is wort the cost. If it worked more like Kaleidoscope (annoying dialog at boot, but you can use it forever), I would consider buying it; however I usually won't pay for shareware that expires.

Kool thanks for the tip  Can't wait to get my iMac G5 this Thursday :woot:

So I have been posting here for a while now, but I need to know:

How do I embed an image into my post that brings up a different pic when I click on it (i.e. preview icon for entire desktop image)? Thanks.

@PlainLazy: Which model of the iMac you Getting? I will tell you, I have had my G5 for a bit less than a year, and it is nothing short of stellar as far as performance/capabilities...I have not found anything I can do to make it slow, unlike my old B&W 500 G3 or my friend's Sawtooth Dual 500 G4, and that includes doing things like encoding four DVD's to full-frame uncompressed H.264...anyways enjoy your new Mac, I am sure you will love it!

Let's see if I can do this right:

OK I see. the IMG tag has to be nested in the URL tag. Fair enough.

I got my 17 inch 1.8GHz iMac G5 just over a week ago, and my Windows box has barely been touched, apart from to enable iTunes sharing for my music.

I got 768 in mine, because I didn't want to pay Apple's prices for RAM, and I have to say that it seems to be more than enough for anything. I was amazed at how powerful it is. I mean, I expected good things moving from a G4 to a G5, but nothing like this.

Enjoy yourself, and post screenshots with wild abandon.

I don't really consider myself lucky, I worked my ass off for my eMac, 4g iPod 40 GB and JBL Creature II speakers. So it's not like they dropped out of the sky. :p

But thanks anyway! :)

I consider myself lucky...my G5 was a birthday present! (Altho my B&W HAD just been fried by a lightning strike [R.I.P.]..) OT, but does anyone know how much it costs for the latest version of Maya, particularly with an educational discount? I am going to Full Sail this April and will need it for the 3D animation degree....

    • Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 headphones are down to lowest price in over a month by Taras Buria Bose's second-gen QuietComfort Ultra headphones are premium over-ear headphones with noise cancellation, but right now, you can save 16%, thanks to a discount that brought the headphones to a new lowest price in over a month. While the general look and aesthetics remain unchanged compared to the previous gen, the Gen 2 features redesigned wear-detection sensors, which accurately pause your music the moment you take them off. Additionally, the headphones now support lossless audio via a direct USB-C wired connection, letting you enjoy uncompressed sound when plugged into your laptop or phone. There is also spatial audio support (works wirelessly) for a more immersive audio experience and improved noise cancellation, which makes the QuietComfort Ultra go-to headphones for many users on long flights or other scenarios when they need to isolate themselves from the surrounding noise. The QuietComfort Ultra (Gen 2) also features Bluetooth Multipoint for seamless switching between two devices at once. As for battery life, you get up to 30 hours on a single charge (up to 23 hours when using spatial audio). Besides good audio quality and noise cancellation, the headphones should be comfortable to wear, thanks to the lightweight 250-gram design and soft protein-leather ear pads. The QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 are available in four colors, and all five are now available at the lowest price: Bose QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Headphones (2nd Gen) - $379 | 16% off on Amazon This Amazon deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified. • Started implementing weapons! Here's a little sneak peek! 👀 Animation was done inside of Unreal Engine using Control Rig! Really useful tool, I don't have to go back and forth between Blender and UE, you can basically make tweaks while the game is running.
    • Keep in mind Intuit has lobbied like crazy to keep taxes complicated so they can continue to sell tax software. They also got caught hiding their legally mandated free version so they could release a second one that pushed countless people into charges they didn't need to pay to file. Intuit leads the charge on inventing problems so they can sell you the solution and disrespecting you in the process.
    • Oddly, there was a time that UFC games were culturally relevant, largely because of the graphics and gameplay that was different than the norm. But it seems like as the sport grew in popularity, gaming outlets stopped talking about the games.
