What I did was use findericonCM to copy the .dmg icon, assign it to a folder and then drag it into Pixadex, export to .png and drop it onto Pic2icon....convoluted I know.... :rofl:

Why? Just copy and paste the icon onto a folder and drag it to Pixadex, there's no need for Pic2icon unless you want a PNG of it... :huh:

Exactly, thats how you are able to continue making additional icons for your own use...always keep a non-icon image file.?:yes::

I just save them to .icns that way the 16x16 and 32x32 formats are also preserved, most icons have different images for those sizes. You loose those by exporting them to .png, so using the .png format is kinda a stupid way of backing up icon files.

I think it was either on Konfabulator.com, their forums or macnn's GUI customization forums. I cannot remember for sure. Sorry.

@PureLogic: That's just for show. I usually put them on the konspose layer.
