By replacing Extras.rsrc with a modified version of SmoothStripes I made.

Where would Extras.rsrc be located?

Macintosh HD > System > Library > Frameworks > Carbon.framework > Versions > A > Frameworks > HIToolbox.framework > Versions > A > Resources

Yep that's the one. Shame the WidgetMachine doesn't make new ones anymore. Some of the best widgets out there were made by them. IMO anyway.
