You're right. I apologize. I should have just ignored the request.

Right, because just fulfilling the request and not saying anything sarcastic is just too much to ask.

Why the hell are people on this forum anyway if they can't go slightly out of their way to post a link when they happen to know where something is.

I've been around the GUI scene for about 5 years now, and if I wanted to find those icons, it would still take me forever. It would be extremely hard to guess the correct search terms. Most forum search engines are sub-par. DA's search was member's only for awhile, and when it isn't, it usually doesn't work very good. Some of the rudest treatment I have ever seen... even for the internet! I wonder what'd be like to meet some of you in public...

Excuse me, do you know where the restrooms are?

What? What did you say? Can you not read? What the hell is wrong with you? There are like 10 signs on this already, all you have to do is search. This building has been here for 30 years, and the restrooms have not moved locations, what the hell is wrong with you? I know it'd take me less time and energy, to just answer you right here, but I'd rather stick my head further up my own ass and send you on a safari while you **** yourself. Go the hell away, I've got to get back at showing my superiority on tEh InterNET mEsSage BOArds!!!

Why the hell do people think the meaning of this forum is to do everything for everybody instead of them learning to do for themselves? No, I won't do like you and use a real world analogy that has no basis of reality on the internet.

Then you haven't learned too much in your 5 years then have you? One failed google search would have made me PM the poster where I first saw them, not continue to post OT ramblings. This particular user has already displayed a penchant for not paying attention. You could have just PM'd me and told me you thought I was an ass rather than continue the diatribe BS.....

I wonder what'd be like to meet some of you in public...

P.S. Never spout out your time on the net like it's a resume in a discussion on net behavior. It makes you look n00bish...

P.S.S. Never wonder what would happen if things on the net were done in real life as if you were some great equalizer. You're not...

The text icons I linked you to were for windows. They need to be converted to Mac icons. Iconverter will do that for you and it's free.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
