i'm new to mac comps. what are some good programs to funk out my desktop? and how do i show big and how much space on my hd under the desktop icon?

"right click" (cmd-click), the 5th option from above, right under "change wallpaper" or something (using german osx). click on it, change the size of your icons and check the "show details" box, you gotta find it.

for using themes:

shapeshifer, shareware, costs 25 bucks or something.

Because those are in a Pixadex icontainer... you need to use pixadex... :D

If you mean the guikit (theme) then you need ShapeShifter. Its not free but there's a free trial. As for the theme itself it's called PhotoPro, refer to my previous posts.
