$344 for a 5 gig player is way overpriced. You can get a brand new 20GB iPod for $279 off of apples website, and you can probably get an iPod Photo 40GB for around $344 off of eBay or $369 new in apples store. Everyone says how expensive Apples products are, but their competitors are getting even worse.

Why don't you do some research? H10 costs $279 for 5GB.

And iPod Photo 40gb is $499, not $369, and iPod 4G 20gb is $299, not $279.

Here, I'm talking about official price for both iRiver and Apple.

Looks sweet ...

If its definitely smaller than the ipod mini ... if it supports Asian language display (Simp Chinese, Trad Chinese, Korean, Japanese) I'll consider it ...

Only thing that can stop me ... is the price (in Australia) ...

well it is slightly bigger than ipod mini in everyway(lol this makes it sound bad)

by like 0.1 or 0.2 inches and it does definitely support MANY languages such as chinese, korean, japanese, hebrew, french, german, russian, english, etc...

The price here is $279.99 and compared to ipod mini, it's only $20 more expensive.

If I hear anything about it on Australia, i'll give you a note

I'm sure it supports Asian language, because it's from Korean company. :p

taken from that review...

Cons

* Alphabetical Music Organization (Significant Disability!)

* No On The Fly Delete

* U.S./U.K. versions not UMS Compliant

* Accessories Sold Seperately

* No Firmware Upgrade Option on the Player(U.S./U.K. versions only) will require a seperate executable to be released by iRiver in order to upgrade firmware on these units

hmmm... i am not a big fan of the alphabetical music orgainization or the no firmware upgrade option. How good is iRiver @ releasing fw upgrades?

There's a few pictures of mine - sorry, they're not very good quality but my cam isn't really any good.

The only trouble I'm having with mine at the moment is that it can't play tracks in order of tracknumber (VERY annoying, I had to go through my whole mp3 collection and rename the titles with 01, 02, 03 etc at the beginning)

The blue one is very nice though - at first I wanted red, but to be honest when I had them both in hand the blue one looked nicer IMO. The Sennheiser headphones are good too - not the best, but better than generic crappy ones (and iPod ones).

Haha. Good luck with your new player and hope you find an easier way to solve that problem.

I'm satisfied with my Zen Micro so in 2 or 3 years I will get a new one.

Also I heard the that bundled earbuds for H10 is Sennheiser MX500. Comparing reviews between that and the bundle earbuds for ZM, I would actually go with the bundle ones.

firmware... iRiver...

They make great hardware, but their firmware support have gone downhill since the H120.

I don't think so.

Unlike other bug-fixing-only companies, iRiver has been known for making their music player even more capable in the future via firmware.

See how H3xx can play video now.

Yeah, I'm guessing soon iRiver will release a firmware for H10 that enables it to play video files.

I really doubt it.

They have bugs and missing features to solve, and they promised that it will support more music format with firmware upgrade.

They better had release better firmware - another problem I'm now having is that the LCD stays on (no backlight) when it is supposed to be turned off. Also, when trying to play certain songs it plays either a completely different song instead (every time, not just sometimes) or it skips a few tracks on the album and plays that track instead.

Oh, and random songs are disappearing and re-appearing from the menu.

Not good. I'd advise against buying one until they sort this mess out.
