Richardo
My Favorite...I love the "Margret!" sketches! Really has to be watched to be appreciated. Narration: It's Nought O'Clock, and at this shop in Flem, Mr. Mann is looking for a date. I had a date once, it was the 11th of November. Mann: Hello. Shopkeeper: Hello. So how can i help you? Mann: I'm looking to meet a woman with the name of Linda Williams. Shopkeeper: Right, so you're looking for a specific person? Mann: No, i'm looking to meet any woman with the name of Linda Williams. Shopkeeper: Any particular reason? Mann: I like that name. Shopkeeper: Right. Mann: It's not my favorite Shopkeeper: No? Mann: No. My favorite name is Catherine Drew, but at my time in life you can't afford to be too picky; because as i always say..... Shopkeeper: Right ok, and.. lets just take down some of your particulars.. ehm, eh and what age woman are you looking to meet? Mann: Oh really anybody between the ages of 38 and 39. Shopkeeper: Right.. Height? Mann: She should have some height, yes. Shopkeeper: Hair? Mann: I do prefere it. Shopkeeper: No, any particular length? Mann: Oh Anything from here... to here.. Shopkeeper: I, ok, well eer, just have a look in the file.. can't see anyone in here. One Moment.. Shopkeeper: MARGRET, MARGRET (Long Pause) (Margret responds, her voice short and distant as if she is upstairs occupied.) Margret: Yes!? Shopkeeper: Theres a gentleman here wants to know if we have any women on file by the name of Linda Williams?! Margret: We've got a Lindsey Williams Shopkeeper: We've got a Lindsey Williams Mann: Absolutely No Way. Shopkeeper: Absolutely No Way. Margret: Oh Shopkeeper: Oh. Margret: There's a Linda Willis! Shopkeeper: Oh yes theres a Linda willis. Mann: Would she be interested in changing her name? Shopkeeper: Would she be interested in changing her name? Margret: Ah, I don't know. Shopkeeper: She doesn't know. Mann: Oh. Shopkeeper: Oh. Margret: Roy! Roy, have you checked the red file, i think there might be a Linda williams in there. Shopkeeper: Oo, oh yes how funny! We do have a Linda williams, yes. She's 38, she has shoulder length hair... very pretty. Margret: Well? Shopkeeper: Well? Mann: Did I mention she should have a glass eye? Shopkeeper: MARGRET, MARGRET! Close Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/266634-little-britain/page/2/#findComment-585253931 Share on other sites

lnmnky
I don't watch it, but have stumbled on it. I hate the catchphrases I hate it when people do impressions of them. "I don't like it" I hate the fact that they do the same joke over and over "yeah but no but", it's not funny the second or third or forth time. It's the same joke. The only funny one was Mr T in the gym. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/266634-little-britain/page/2/#findComment-585255175 Share on other sites

estranged
It was okay when it was just on BBC3/radio4. Now the trend ###### have ruined it.Notice I said okay, I never thought it fantastic. 585230181[/snapback] Im gonna have to agree with that ina way.. i never heard any of the radio shows, but after/during the first series everyone was quoting it alll the time.. and by the time series 2 was shown, all the jokes seemed so old.. Jelly2003
I love "Little Brittan" they recently played series one down here. Every episode has it's really funny moments. Another Brit comedy I enjoyed is "Read Ringers", especially when people go out in public acting as Tony Blair, Dr Who, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ozzi Osbourne, etc. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/266634-little-britain/page/2/#findComment-585260187 Share on other sites
