Does anyone know how to fix this problem???

I setup some roaming profiles and gave them a share to their profile and data drive... (ie. \\servername\profiles$\%username%)

It has been working fine for the past 6 months or so... synchronizing like it is supposed too, etc.

But now for some odd reason it keeps saving a copy to the c:\documents and settings\%username% under the servers C:

Why is it doing that?? I checked the settings and they are all there, and the security is fine on the access rights. No major errors in the event viewer that would seem to cause this.

It also seems the profiles quit synchronizing as well, (ie. Save a text file on desktop and log off, log in somewhere else and it is not there. Log back in to machine where file was created and it is still there)

This is very confusing to me! I know I am not that crazy! :s lol

Any ideas?????

Thanks in advance,

Don

Users login to Windows 2000 Professional Workstations, and their profiles show "Roaming" under the User Profiles properties on each system. The Active Directory is setup for the users to Roam, and if you go to the User Profiles properties on the Server, it shows each of the users who logged on to their windows 2000 pro systems. It never done that before, and just started doing it. Not sure what in the world is going on. It seems like it is saving a cached copy under the servers "Documents and Settings" folder. I delete it when they are logged off and it keeps coming back. Also it will not allow me to delete it when they are logged in.
