Thanks for the intersting comparison!

Of course microsoft's is still in BETA phase.. maybe they are still working on it..

They might tweak the speed..

And don't forget that Ad-Aware has updated definitions.. while Microsoft's isn't even a final release.

Ad-aware Found 26 Object, fine, but did you click on the + (Under the Threat Name) on MS AntiSpy to see how objects it had found related to those apps ?

My MS Antispy takes less than 13MB of memory and it doesnt show in Task Manager when minimized (I Have realtime Protection Enabled).

The thing that bothers me with Microsoft AntiSpyware, is the "SpyNet" thing. It reminds me of SkyNet from Terminator movies. I keep thinking of Bill Gates at CES talking about intergration and seeing these robots ...wow, it's...

I just thought about this,

isn't MS AntiSpy just GIANT rebranded? Which would mean in theory, that this is a final product, but MS just plans on improving on it...hence the Beta 1 label. Perhaps I am misunderstanding MS's purchase of GIANT.

I think you're right.

In fact, MS forgot to change its name shown in the process manager.

When using MS antispyware, i noticed that it is really slow. It takes gaes for it to run an update and doesn't even give you an indication if there is no need to update.

It also takes ages after the scan to delete the spyware and report it to SpyNet.

    • never mind the video had a couple swear words... gosh it was funny!
    • It's expensive, but I bet it will still sell out just like the Steam Deck and the Steam Controller
    • This is listed as a preview in WU for me. I usually don't grab them as previews; what's your opinion on it so far?
