Links other than http?

I've spent the last week trying to make the dynamic signature I have in my sig, which reads values sent to a database from trillian and mirc. In the script, I have title and alt values set, but I had to use .htaccess to be able to use the script with an image extension. Is there any way I can add alt tags or hyperlink each icon to the appropriate IRC channel, whenever I add a link, http:// is automatically added before it (see the middle icon).

maybe you could make the link go to a webapge (http) and then have that page automatically redirect to the IRC address..?

I think you put irc:// but you would have to do a search to find out the syntax after that. I've seen sites using that kind of link though.

I need to be able to link to irc://server/channel, but the tags in invision add http:// before anything else, I wanted to know of a way to either remove the http:// or add an alt tag.
