NTL Speed Upgrade News?

A few months back it was reported that NTL where upgrading their speeds again this month. I havnt heard anything since then, and i was wondering if anyone had any news on the topic?

I got upgraded to 750k a few months ago, too. Are they going to upgrade me again?

not for free, you have to pay an "administrative charge" of ?25, if your on 300 it will be bumped up to 1mb, 750k to 2mb and 1.5mb to 3mb, doesnt cost extra a month, just the charge.

I got a free upgrade from my ISP (Karoo - Part of Kingstom Comms) from 1Mbps to 1.5MBps for free & only ?34.99 a month with unlimited bandwidth;))

I just run the cost effective SBC Yahoo! DSL. There is no cap limit, that rocks. I got a 1.5MB download speed last time I tested. :)

I hate the high broadband prices in the UK. In the south of France, you can get 8mbit adsl for ?15 a month or ?11 a month!

I spoke to NTL this afternoon, they've started getting the offers coming into their systems now and expect to offer it sometime at the end of Jan.

Does bandwidth count for outgoing and incoming?

You don't seriously want to use NTL ISP for your server do you? You'll be stuck to a limit of 256kbps upload.

It's ok for a webcam that only you know about, but how many users your expecting, or is this just for your own personal use.
