Shadrack Posted January 10, 2005 Share Posted January 10, 2005 I'm having a weird problem where when someone logs into the VPN server that is built into Windows XP, the name of that server on the network gets re-routed to the IP address the VPN server handed the incomming client. This is causing smb file sharing problems as well as MySQL database problems, as we use the netbios name for network address resolution. In short: Before client logs into rusty's VPN: "rusty" ---> 10.0.0.3 after client logs into rusty's VPN: "rusty" ---> 10.0.0.203 (which is what the client is assigned). I can still ping 10.0.0.3 and get responses. I really need to setup a DNS already, but does anyone know how to fix this for now?
